Beware if you have heavy bags ....
First finding this place is hard. The address looks like a restaurant. A small sign indicates "hotel" but there are no instructions about signing in. After two inquiries at the restaurant we finally discovered that we needed to sign in at the Krone hotel down the street. We had already taken two heavy bags up several stairs before discovering all this. Then they placed us on the very top floor, which meant many more steep windy stairs. Upon arrival on the top floor it was an attic where most of the space had slanted ceilings where you could not stand up. It also had no blackout curtains on the west windows so when the sun came up you were forced to wake up. When explaining we are 68 and 71 years old and had very heavy bags for a month trip, the clerk had no sympathy even though she announced they owned 5 hotels in the same vicinity and could very well have offered us another spot. Upon checkout the next day the clerk was a bit more sympathetic but said she could do nothing, we had to go through our booking agent. I wanted to write this review to warn people away from staying here if you have issues with climbing and carrying heavy bags. It was a ridiculous place to have put us. This place was not inexpensive, was not what it was advertised to be, and I could see that other rooms may have been as advertised, but not the one we were given. It was an attic plain and simple. BEWARE. Also another note on the steps: to GET TO this hotel you would frequently go via a bridge after which are LOTS of steep stairs to get up to a plaza where the hotel is located. Again not for someone with heavy bags or trouble climbing steep steps

This was not what we looked fo....
The first impression was bad, I was asked to check in at a different hotel by a lady in the restaurant which is located in the ground floor. When we ask , where is the other hotel she just mentioned down the road, never bothered to show me the location, which I felt was rude. Now coming to the hotel itself, I booked a room a room with a courtyard view, what I was given was a room whose windows opened to someone's bathroom. We could not open the windows due to the foul smell. The room was in itself suffocating, no air con. It was small, congested, no sun light and some what depressing . The bathroom was made out from the room itself without proper ventilation, though the shower was good. The most irritating part was the lift( if you may call it) , it was like some industrial lift which carries you up.
Overall, I would not recommend this hotel if you are travelling as a couple or want to enjoy your vacation. Maybe somewhat OK for backpackers.

Not what is advertised
The hotel staff at the front desk were very rude on arrival especially the man. You check in at Hotel Krona down the road ,this was not explained when the booking was made.
Too bag if you have taken the luggage or raining.
The lift to the rooms are up one flight of 20 steps before you reach a spiral staircase and lift.
The room we were given is nothing like some of the photos. The bathroom was modern abut had a mildew shower. The room is very hot, being Europe no air con only a fan. The window was able to be opened to allow some fresh air.
There is NO INTERNET. the management said it was not working, another person said they were waiting for a technician and another had no idea when (if) it was being connected.
As some rooms have no external light you have no idea the weather for taking coats etc, no ability to check train times or web cams at destinations to make bookings and plan your day.
After being offered internet at the Hotel Krona I find this totally unacceptable to advertise something when they do not have it. I would steer clear of this company. I wonder if they will ever put in internet ? If you need it check first or you may also be unable to stay connected.
Our room was also very very small, the smallest we have encountered in Europe. 3x 4m. There was no place to put a suitcase only the floor. A bag rack would have been appreciated. While there are some lovely photos on the internet I would expect, the are requesting a very large tariff. Think twice. It was in a good location in the old town

We were unexpectedly upgraded to an apartment and were extremely pleased! Our studio apartment was clean and updated with a modern bathroom. We loved the fully functional kitchen, large TV, and overlooking views of the square. Front desk was friendly and accommodating, and answered all our questions via text. Decent location-
in center of old town and close (10 min walk) to train station and boats. Would definitely stay here again!
