Worth a stay
Stayed here for three nights , the hotel was clean and very new looking. The staff were very professional and the rooms although small had all you needed. The hotel price was cheaper than many others in Geneva, maybe because of it's location, but I assure you the Red Light location was not an issue. At Geneva Airport you get a free train ticket from the airport to the train station (7mins) then the hotel is approx 600m from station. The hotel then issues a free travel pass to use on all buses, trains and trams in Geneva. The hotel was quiet, we heard no noise. We would stay here again no problem.

Does what it does very well
Stayed here for one night at the start of a business trip to Geneva. It was very clean, very quiet, and the staff were quite friendly and accomodating. I asked for a late check-out, which was no problem. And, they were fine with one of my colleagues using the room for a few hours during the day, as he arrived from the States.
Great location - two blocks to the train station, two blocks to the lake. Even though I stayed on a Saturday night, it was quiet and civilized.
The room is not huge, but it is adequate, esp. for one person. And the TV gets dozens of channels!
Overall, a good stay.

Really Nice Hotel
This hotel is located near the train station at the center of Geneva. It is very beautiful and the staff is very kind and willing to hep you. Our room was clean and very convenient.
Either you travel for work or for vacations, it is a nice choice! Breakfast was also very good.
Keep the nice work. Congrats!

Centrally located, subpar brea....
With an extremely central location literally five minutes walk from the train station, albeit in a somewhat seedy but otherwise safe area, this hotel already has a lot going for it. The rooms are nice, too, with confortable beds and for Ibis standards, an above-average bathroom.
What's not up to par, however, is the extremely disappointing breakfast menu.
As frequent guests at Ibis hotels throughout Europe, we've come to expect a certain standard. And sadly, Ibis Centre Lac let us down. From its inability to provide a gluten-free alternative (on the first morning) to its generally limited selection of breads, fruits and veg, this was uninspiring to say the least and certainly the worst we've ever had at an Ibis hotel.
What's more, since the hotel doesn't offer complementary free coffee and tea for guests to enjoy in their rooms, again, unlike Ibis hotels elsewhere and unlike hotels in general, you have to pay extra for hot drinks on top of the premium you've already paid for the optional breakfast.
Although our stay wasn't entirely bad, needless to say, we were left with a bit of a bitter aftertaste in our mouths. Let's say, there is room for improvement.
In fact, since Geneva doesn't really have that much to offer outside of museums, we learned, we would probably recommend staying in nearby Lausanne or Montreux instead. We had some wonderful days there and would absolutely consider coming back.

Clean, comfortable and reliabl....
A typical hotel ibis with the creature comforts such as a nice clean bathroom and comfortable bed.
Located within 5 minutes of the lake of Geneva, nice restaurants located nearby and close proximity to the station.
The Red light district in same area but the seedy areas are easily avoidable if you pay attention to where your walking.
A bar located inside and room service available.
Only con was the air conditioning was very weak and I was overheated in the evening.
