Wonderful show we spent a nice weekend in this hotel for the second time in the past two years. The first time we stayed in a junior suite facing the street we didn’t sleep well as the bus stop was in front of our window. This time the junior suite was very calm and quiet we rest very well. But Again wifi very bad connection. This last time we didn’t had not even the satellite tv that is included in the price. Front desk ladies nice but they are not client serving oriented , or problem solving they didn’t solve the problem of the satellite tv that was not functioning nor the WiFi bad connection. I advice more experienced staff should be present guiding the very young staff, so as to offer a better service to clients.

great location and friendly st....
Great hotel with live jazz everyday, nice fondue during the winter (make sure to reserve a table) and nice food at the restaurant.
The hotel has a mini golf alsoHate the carpets on the rooms and the bathroom had shower curtains instead of glass doors

Once again spent a wonderful evening at this hotel. First off , a great meal for our party of 4 as usual the food and service is excellent with a great view from the restaurant looking out over the city of Bern. On a winters evening this cannot be beaten, the whole city is lit up , as are the grounds of the hotel and you view in the distance the frequent passage of trains in and out of Bern Main Station . The whole view reminds you of a model town and railway.
After our meal we just walked on down to Marians Jazzroom, beneath the Hotel for a fantastic nights entertainment by Al Copley and his band who had a gig there for the Christmas/New Year period. This has become a regular treat for us at Christmas time. If you can't make it for Christmas there is a full season of excellent musical talent available to entertain you.

Very nice Belle Epoque restaurant near the centre of Berne on a hill. Excellent beef tatar we had during the dinner with an excellent wine recommendation by the waiter. The staff was very friendly and competent in service.

Historic Jazz Hotel
The Innere Enge Hotel have been around since the early 18th century. Just a short bus ride from the Bern rail station, it's a quiet oasis away from the busy downtown. The hotel and expansive property are set on a high promontory with a spectacular view overlooking the city and several famous Swiss alpine peaks in the distance.
The hotel is noted for hosting many jazz musicians over the years, and have special rooms named after a number of Jazz greats who have stayed there. There are also busts and caricatures of some of the jazz notables.
Check-in was quick and efficient. Since we had arrived a bit early, friendly staff took care of our luggage and directed us to the restaurant bar for a complimentary welcoming drink.
By the time we had finished our drinks, our room was ready. Our room, on the main floor, was spacious and very comfortable with a king-sized bed, a view of the garden, and featured a very efficient, recently installed air conditioner. We also had a bar fridge and safe.
The breakfast buffet was served in the hotel restaurant, Josephine. I presume the name came from Napolean Bonaparte's wife, Empress Josephine, who visited the same hotel in 1810. The main seating area is set in an airy greenhouse-like room with great views of the city. Breakfast istelf was excellent with a huge variety of cereals, juices, meats (including smoked salmon), cheeses, fruits & juices. Coffee was brought to our table as ordered.
My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at the Innere Enge. We'd stay there anytime.
