Radisson Blu Polar Hotel, Spitsbergen

Great location.. lovely rooms and view. walking distance to all the eateries and to the beach. the hot tub and sauna was particularly nice

We took a junior suite as it was one day stay. Room was overall comfortable and breakfast was good, however sharing a few pointers that could be improved: checkin as 3 and checkout time 12 are not very friendly. As tourist, generally the arrival time is morning/noon and checking at 3 is not ideal. The hotel provides a place to keep luggage and hang out in lobby but with busy season, it can be tricky to get a place and you are left with no choice but to wander around even if u are tired. The second point is regarding helping the luggage. We have experienced great hotel services but here you need to drag, carry your own luggage (would be not easy if you bring more) and the extended section did not have an elevator. This means you need to manage dragging heavy luggage up the stairs too. While the room was clean, please don't expect service much. No phone available so if you need, you need to every-time report to the reception. Not a great experience it is. Rest was ok. The flight shuttles are just outside the hotel which was very convenient and the hotel is at the main location.
