Family Visit to Valencia
Just back from the Stunning City of Valencia, this hotel is almost in the perfect location. The hotel looks neat on the outside, but dated in the inside, but in all very clean and staff are friendly. We stayed in the family room on first floor room 106, this room is very dated and there is a real lack of space and the room is not big enough for a family of four, but i will say the beds are very comfortable, shower is great and there was no noise at all from any other guests. We had breakfast just one of the days in the hotel and was average. The market is 5 mins walk from the hotel where you can get fresh fruit, juices, cakes all very cheap, and take in the amazing markets atmosphere.
NOTE - There is building works going on dead opposite this hotel, the sound of a Cango drill in the morning bursting through the reception why people are eating breakfast is not good.
There are many restaurants, bars, and most of the Major sites are all close by, The main tour bus is 5-10 mins walk from the hotel, we paid about 65 euros for 4 adults 2 kids for 48hrs, this was good for the blue route which takes you to Valencia stunning beach Playa Del Cabanya, which is about 1hrs journey, but saved us on taxis. You could even catch the no.32 bus to the beach, which is 10 mins walk from Placa De La Reina and is about a 25 mins journey @1:50 euros!
I have been to Valencia before, its a stunning city, i could actually live here, with some nice shops aswell, you can hire bikes, or get them from the hotel and cycle along the main Park which runs right through the city.
For an excellent Tapas, check out Pintxo i Trago, 5 mins walk from the hotel, good food, decent portions and a decent glass of Rose, White or Red wine for 2:20 euros, and there is many places round this area like this.

Superb location for exploring ....
This fantastic hotel has the perfect location for exploring the historic city of Valencia. Situated on a side street close to the Plaza de la Reina you are a stones throw away from the beautiful cathedral, several restaurants and cafes and a hub for all the tourist buses. Yet the street itself is nice and quiet so you get a peaceful night's sleep.
The room was quite small but immaculately cleaned every day and the aircon was excellent. It had a lovely clean bathroom with a nice powerful shower. The staff were all lovely - everyone spoke good English and they were friendly and helpful.
We didn't have breakfast here as there are so many options for eating close by. The bakery on the corner (Granier) has great coffee and pastries and made for a perfect well priced breakfast.
I would definitely stay here again when visiting Valencia - it is all about the location and the fact that it is an amazing clean hotel with superb staff means that there is no reason to consider staying anywhere else!

Good location, clean but small room, comfortable bed and wonderful shower. This hotel is a good base, to sleep and shower in and then to go out and explore the city from. Does not have anything in the way of longe or terrace to sit and relax except for a few chairs at reception.
We did not have breakfast in the hotel but had it in the bakers on the corner which is a minute away. There we had tea, toast with jam and freshly squeezed orange juice for just over 3 euros.
I must say Louis on reception was very pleasant and helpful as was the girl who printed off our return boarding passes .

A+++ for location and breakfas....
Perfect location in the centre of old city with great bars , restaurants and major sites nearby ( but no noise in hotel). Jardines de Turia 10 mins walk. Use the free hotel bikes ( or hire some ) to explore the city. Loved the healthy breakfast. Staff really friendly and helpful and speak good English. Our bedroom small but very comfortable bed and great shower (hand and rain shower + small bath). Bathrooms not soundproof so maybe not best for that first romantic trip away! Overall excellent value for money.

OK but not much more than that
I'd read great reviews and there's nothing horribly wrong with this hotel. It's ... fine. Very well positioned and quiet on the top floors but it's somewhat charmless. Functional, comfortable but lacking any personal touches or character. I saw no evidence of the much praised (in reviews) staff. On the contrary, when our room was boiling hot and I asked if there was something we could do about it (the weather was cold, the heating was off) the guy on the desk just shrugged and told me to open the window (actually, a door). The next day someone clearly figured out the problem came from the fridge so they simply unplugged it. We didn't really need it but surely they need to figure out a better solution for a boiling hot room ? The guy on the desk told me I should have read the manual in the room to get the number for reception so that I didn't have to trek downstairs. There was no manual, the next day the new person on reception told me they'd all been removed... and so on. Don't buy the expensive breakfast, there's a fab little cafe on the corner of the street that does great coffee and toast with ham or jam and fresh pastries for a 10th of the price. So like I say, it's ok but I'd look elsewhere next time.
