Everything ok, but terrible fo....

Room is old, couch was falling apart. Beds are really in a bad shape, we had backpain every day. For breakfast everyday the same: eggs, beans, marmelade and corn flakes. Dinner could be better. The food was cold all the time, we were very disappointed. Room service was not everyday, because they lost the second key and if we wanted new towels, we had to go to reception. Cool thing: refrigerator. Better to pay more and choose another hotel.

We Had an enjoyable stay.

This was our first experience of going all inclusive and we were a little anxious after reading the reviews. But we had an enjoyable stay here. The grounds are very clean, pretty and well maintained . Our room was very tired looking but everything worked and it was spotlessly clean. The Breakfast and lunches were perfect , lots of choice & fresh fruit. The evening meal choices were quite often less desirable and only lukewarm but you get what you pay for and we were happy enough. The entertainment guy tried his best to get people to join in the archery, water polo, air rifle shooting but there wasn't many willing players! Evening entertainment consisted of a bird show ( an owl & a parrot) .bingo . Karaoke. And a singer one night. I personally wouldn't recommend this place for young children. The ones that were there seemed bored and struggled to find things they liked to eat at mealtimes. We wanted a relaxing holiday, edible food, alcohol on tap, sitting by the pool & sightseeing .. We got all of those so we had a great holiday! Husband says the beer is great and I had cheap Malibu which was nicer than a lot of other cheap Malibu' s around! You have to pay for drinks if you want the branded stuff. Most likely will be back!

Nearly perfect

Food brilliant, staff pleasant and efficient and friendly. Only drawback dated Decor in rooms. Update the apartments and 10/10. On hillside so maybe problems for people who have difficulty walking although we coped OK.

Dreadful

Was broken into whilst I slept! Took my handbag purse watch bank cards. The manager Sebastian was not at all remorseful no empathy. Left with no money and they offered I help. No security cameras and the walkways to the rooms are so dangerous no lights at all. Changed room was not checked on at all. The food is dreadful. Lifeguard more concerned on her phone or chatting up the bar man. Maintaintance men leering smoking whilst working flicking ash on the pool area floor. It could have been a lot worse if I had of woken up. My bag was found in the apartment below!! All very very strange. I stayed in the grand 2 weeks previous outstanding.

If you are thinking of going w....

Before I start this review I would like to make you all aware that I am not the kind of person who ‘pays for 3 stars and expects 5’ nor am I the kind of person who ‘wants burgers and chicken nuggets’ for my meals. I am well travelled and have stayed in hotels or various stars and ratings, self catering & all inclusive. Before booking at blue sea I read the reviews but am aware from previous holidays that you cannot please everyone, we booked the hotel with an open mind and decided to judge for ourselves. When I book all inclusive the main factors for me are the food. Unfortunately we were disappointed. Good points: - the soft drinks, wine & beer and self serve and are of a decent quality. Sangria is also included with fruit in. I did not try the spirits so I cannot comment on those. - The actual hotel itself is nice to look at, it’s clean and spacious and I was impressed with the apartment, it had everything you needed if you wanted to rustle up some food (which you will need to!!) - The location is brilliant, you are a 5/10 min walk from the nearest beach and there is a few bars and restaurants nearby or a 20 min walk into playa pariso which has a lot more choice (€3.50 in a taxi). There is a cafe on the end called Francis 2, I would highly recommend this place the value for money is second to none! Please note the hotel is set in an area with a lot of hills and steps so please don’t book if mobility is an issue, i think it’s unfair that people complain about this as it’s noones fault! - The bar and reception staff were brilliant, they were always cheerful and willing to help. Bad points: - the beds are ROCK HARD and when I say rock hard, I mean rock hard. I was woken in the night and had to turn over because my side had gone numb and had to go for a massage! If you’re the type that could sleep on a marble floor you will have no problem! - The food.. yes I am aware this is a three star hotel but it is by far the worst three star all inclusive, in fact the worst all inclusive in general that I have ever stayed at. I was aware when I booked there were no snacks (which I have never experienced there is usually something even if it’s cakes and coffee mid afternoon) however I thought with us having an apartment I could just get some snacky stuff. We went into the restaurant and was highly disappointed. There are a choice of 4 hot dishes that is it, they were like warm at most and do not match the other dishes. A lot of foods are from the day before as they haven’t been eaten. The salad section is basic to say the least and the deserts are nothing more than one choice of fruit, jelly and angel delight. The breakfast is the best meal of the day with the usual ham/cheese toast cereal and sausage and eggs. I asked the waitress for another baguette one morning as mine was so hard I couldn’t physically squeeze it (I tried 4) she told me they were made friend and there was nothing she could do. I find it hard to believe they were made fresh that morning, breakfast starts at 8am, this was 8.20 How were they hard?? We ate out every single day of being there if you are relying on all inclusive for your meals and are not planning on eating out PLEASE DONT TAKE THE RISK with this hotel. If I had booked self catering I would be happy with the hotel, so if you plan to eat out please book self catering or bed and breakfast. I am not fussy at all and will eat what’s in front of me but it was unbearable. - you have to pay per hour for your TV one euro, I understand you don’t go on holiday to watch TV but it would be nice to have some background noise and be able to have that choice. - The pool doesn’t open until 10am and closes at 6pm. Why?? It’s Tenerife and is warm early until late, so why would you close the pool at these times? Children were up early and bored around the pool as they couldn’t get in it!! Also there are no inflatables allowed into the pools which I thought was horrendous. Which brings me onto my next point.. - there is no entertainment in the day at all, there is a plan on the board but there is nothing going on, there was a man playing table tennis with the children one day but that is as far as it went. there are 3 large pools at this hotel so if there is no entertainment for children at least have one pool where the children can play with inflatables and balls etc? Then the guests who wanted to be in a quieter environment could go to one of the other pools. I am interested to know the reason there is no inflatables allowed? The entertainment in the evening is questionable, but we went out each evening anyway to eat and explore as the hotel vibe is extremely boring. - One day we were round the top pool, there is a bar there but it was not open, there is lots of steps and quiet a distance to the bar (there is only one bar open) my partner bought some larger plastic glasses and although we were all inclusive he wasn’t able to fill up the larger glass, they would rather he took a few small glasses. I don’t understand why you would want to use all this plastic when it’s not needed. Baring in mind the glasses used are small, the plastic cup my partner got was a pint so it’s not like he was asking for a gallon!! - Today we checked out, I paid for late check out which was until 3pm. After what was a bit of a dull holiday anyway I didn’t think much more could rain on my parade, but was I wrong! At 2.45 a maid charged into my apartment (she did not knock she opened the door then shouted ‘ola’) I was stood in my underwear in the bathroom and she said ‘have you finished’ so we explained we would be about ten more mins we just needed to throw our clothes on. She didn’t respond, gave me a dirty look and then started talking Spanish to her colleague. She then stormed in the living area and demanded to look at the apartment and walked out and slammed the door. I have NEVER, EVER witnessed anything like it and I had paid for the late check out!!! Totally unacceptable and rude!! If you are booking self catering you will be okay but in a nutshell I wouldn’t ever go back here.
