Good for one night, poor break....
Located a bit far from the old town: 15-20 min uphill walk. Two small elevators also used by the staff, resulting in very long waits.
Reasonably spacious, clean room and bathroom. Comfortable bed. Somewhat dated but functional bathroom fixtures.
Wi-Fi works well.
Poor breakfast with limited selection, mostly low quality items, only one coffee machine with a long line.

The only negative comment was with the bar service, low quality vs the hotel services.

Good Sound Hotel
Booked here so we could do a visit to Coruna for the weekend also. Clean ,large comfortable hotel and all that you would expect from a city hotel. In a quiet part of the city away from the traffic.A 15 minuet walk into the town centre and 20 minuet walk down to the rail station. Nice views from the breakfast table and breakfast is OK. Staff helpful and pleasant. Only down side when we were here was a group of young sports people were staying and very noisy , but with a central Atrium in the centre of the hotel from ground floor to the roof, the noise was made worse throughout. Overall, the hotel does exactly what it is supposed to do and at a reasonable price. A wonderful area of Spain to visit.

After the Camino, this was a lovely hotel to stay at. But, if you are in a lot of pain, this is a 20 minute walk to the main church/square. Once we were at the hotel, we didn't want to leave again and there aren't many restaurants super close by.
When we needed a taxi, the front desk called one.
Leave yourself plenty of time to check-in and check-out as the hotel is a very popular one.

Very Comfortable after a month....
Having completed the 800 km pilgrimage on the Camino Frances, which involves mostly sleeping in dormitory rooms in albergues or hostels, the Gran Hotel was the ultimate in luxury. The front desk was very friendly and accepting of the two pilgrims who no doubt looked the worse for wear. The room was well appointed but, facing south, was extremely hot and we were told that the air conditioning was turned off for the season. Opening the window let in some cool air but also let in the noise from the street below, so the first night of 3 was not ideal. The next two nights we opened the window and dismantled our beds so we could at least remain cool enough to sleep. We had told the front desk that we would like breakfast included but, the first morning we were told by the restaurant that we were not on the list. So we went from the 10th floor to the lobby to arrange for breakfasts before we could eat. I must say though that the breakfast was an excellent buffet. Despite the lack of air conditioning, the hotel was a pleasant change from dormitories.
