large room with balconies
we stayed for one night while travelling around Romania. this Hotel was very traditional, we were given the room at the front which had 2 balconies so though we were only staying one night we managed to sit outside and enjoy the magnificent views. the breakfast in the morning was meats and cheeses with some other foods we weren't sure of but was nicely presented, we were also offered an omelette which was very well cooked.
The room also had a Jacuzzi bath so after a long day of sight seeing we came back to the hotel with a bottle of prosecco which was £4 from the shop on the main street and enjoyed relaxing in the bubbles.
We very much enjoyed our stay, the walk to the hotel from the train station was very easy even with suitcases as there are steps straight across from the station then after walking slightly round the park you find some more stairs that brings you out just below the hotel, saves the walk round the windy roads. the Monastery is only just further up the road that then leads to the pathway to Peles castle so the hotel was in a good position.
The only slight problem was checking out as we had to pay though I had a receipt that showed that we had paid Expedia already, we paid as this was Expedia's fault which meant I then had to make a 20 minute phone call when back home to rectify. The hotel says that they never except money from the holiday companies so be aware, the room was only £40 a night , worth every penny..
we did though find a pair of glasses on the floor nearly under the sofa so maybe they need to inspect a bit more thoroughly.

Simple but lovely
Lovely little quiet old world hotel in beautiful setting. Our room had 2 balconies with great views. Simple clean comfortable. Easy walk to town and tourist attractions. Kettle and fridge in room. Nice breakfast. Very helpful friendly staff. Really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again. Very easy train ride from Bucharest ( about 90 minutes) if you want to escape the city for a night or two. Can walk to hotel from station.

Decent renovated vintage mansi....
Built in 1884, after the plans of one of the Peles Castle's architects, this art nouveau villa is very chic and perfectly located, on a quiet street near the city center. The Peles Castle is a walking distance from the the property.
Stayed in the room # 6 which offers nice views from both balconies. Although not very well updated, the bathroom was large and with bath tub.
The breakfast was not bad, except for the bread (the cheapest version of white bread). In addition to the poor quality of the bread, the bread toaster was very slow and small. The coffee was acceptable though, as well as the tea.
Generous parking lot and garden.
During our stay (first week-end of December 2017) a construction operation was on going in the property's backyard (they want to build a conference center and a restaurant)
However, the construction job did not disturb us in any way. Pleasant stay, overall.

The place is very old with amazing character and history.
Rooms are clean and well laid out.. bathrooms are very clean. Staff are extremely pleasant and helpful. Having the. Voice of having breakfast or not was great. They will make your breakfast to order if you like.. well done!
Will definitely stay again next time!
