Great location clean and great....
We picked this place as we were arriving by train and the location is perfect, literally one row behind and higher than the end of the station. Are arrival was earlier than official check in but we're greeted well and given our room.
The whole place is very clean and we had clean daily towels. Our room was in the rear overlooking the courtyard and view up towards the Moorish fort.
I don't think that any rooms in the property would be disturbed by train noise as the railway ends at this station so only slow moving trains arrive and depart and there is another row of properties between this property and the station.
The price we paid was very reasonable and we had no complaints. Breakfast was not included but we would advise going to the cafe opposite the main station building which is where all the locals go and we had great coffee, pastries etc for 2 of us for €6 nothing was more than a €1 and the staff are very helpful (free wifi too)
Our only criticism would be the weather and that was not in anyone's control as it was a bit stormy and the wind howled along the corridors rattling the doors and windows a bit.

Lovely, very comfortable hotel. Some rooms have beautiful views of the castle of the Moors. Very comfortable rooms with a good free Wi-Fi. ery friendly staff speaking English. Nearby are many restaurants and train station.

Booked in single room 40 euros, no en-suite. Bathroom shared by four rooms. No bath, no tap plug.
No tea/coffee facilities, no breakfast offered by the hotel. Bed linen was a mismatch and barely fitted the bed.
Poor Hostel facilities at hotel prices.

In short: NO!
In short: don't stay here! We visited for a night and really regretted it.
Our room was really quite dirty, the mattress really uncomfortable and we woke up after a bad night of sleep with some very suspicious bites (bed bugs?!).
Also, no English spoken at all (despite what they advertise). When I asked the man at the front desk if he spoke English, he told me - in Portuguese - that 'we are in Portugal and we speak Portuguese' (I can't speak but I understand a little).
Breakfast consists of a watered down latte at a dusty nearby coffee shop.
Lastly, although they advertise parking on site, when we arrived it was 'full' so we had to park on the street.
Ah - and did I mention the front desk staff had a sardines bbq in the courtyard for dinner resulting the whole hotel smelling of grilled fish?!!!
Honestly - worst experience ever!
