Traveled with my 2 daughter’s to Maldives. Was a last minute decision with so many Covid restrictions in international travel. Zeroed in on Maldives, after a lot of research decided on Centara Grand MALDIVES We booked a Water Villa Ambiance- excellent, Cleanliness -Superb Jamshed the house keeping staff was so nice and he made my stay so beautiful by decorating the room celebrating my birthday Front Desk and Reception- Brilliant - Asim received us so warmly and made comfortable, the AC in our room was not working, He gave us another suite immediately -Peter at the front desk is very responsive and open to suggestions Breakfast@The Reef Amazing setting by the Lagoon. Delicious though somewhat limited and same everyday. But hospitality and service was amazing. Suan Bua the Thai Restaurant Ambiance is nice. Delicious food and very authentic Thai. Portion size is very small, only sufficient for one person is the only drawback. Azzuri the Italian Restaurant Beautiful ambiance, food is nice not great, risotto was great, portions are nice. Staff is a little unfriendly and feels like they serve as a chore. Coral Bar A view to die for, I could just spend my entire life sitting in the deck and watching millions and millions of stars. Special special mention about Mr Venkat, the F&B Manager( he’s more a Host than a Manager) He’s warm, kind, and a welcoming person. He made the stay memorable for us. The resort celebrated my 50th Birthday with all the staff wishing me with a beautiful chocolate cake. It was so delightful. Venkat went all the way to arran ge the Bollywood Night for all of us, the DJ happens to be a Manager who’s a part time DJ for the love of Music. He played amazing numbers, was thrilling to groove through the night. Again Venkat made it so special, Thanks Venkat…from all of us Satish, Piyush, Mojo at the Bar made delightful Cocktails in the morning and Evenings, specialty was the Cocktails were made to suit our personality and mood!! Cheers to the Corel Bar team. Swimming pool Water activities, snorkeling lessons and the experience of watching hundreds of colorful fishes at the Reef was enthralling. a magical world! Best for the last: The king size Water Villa was the most delightful. It’s huge. all 932 sq ft. The bathroom is Palatial with an amazing Jaccuzi. The amenities in the Villa are all according to the expectations. You open the curtains to world of emerald Lagoon and fishes and corals only Couple of feet deep under the water villa. I have never seen millions of stars in my entire lifetime in one trip. Spent every night on the loungers, sipping a drink and looking at the mesmerizing stars all Night. This is one experience I take with me for a lifetime. Over and all its an amazing property. A must if you’re planning Maldives. Only Down: Had problem contacting the property. Had a expensive non refundable flight and couldn’t connect with the Centara Collection Machchafushi Maldives - Stay 4+ nights get 30% off on Seaplane till 22 Dec 2025 till few hours before departure. So had heart in my mouth. Had a terrible experience with Make My Trip, once the payment was done, they completely absolved themselves of all responsibility. I connected with the property with great difficulty. Sama at reservation was helpful. But the stress was terrible to take a few hours before a vacation. Centara should hold take note of this. One of the best unplanned Vacations..Thanks to Centara Grand for making this. Memorable one for Me and my Daughter’s.

Had an amazing experience staying at this resort and made our 10th anniversary more special. • Were greeted at male airport by resort staff which took care of arranging the transfers via seaplane. • Reached the resort at around 10:30 AM and were allotted villa immediately even though check-in time was 3 PM. • The villa is extremely spacious with all the amenities that you would need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The room and the private pool is well maintained. • There are 3 restaurants and 2 bars inside the resort so you will never run of options or get bored with the food selection. We mostly ate at the reef restaurant as it provides a buffet menu so plenty of different variety of food to choose from. • You are provided with the snorkelling kit for the duration of the stay at the water activities centre. You can choose from plenty of water sport activities to spend your day. • You can spend leisure time in evening at any of the 2 bars where they have plenty of cocktails, mocktails, etc to choose from. • We liked that they have an app which would help you for the duration of the stay for any and every detail of resort, bookings in restaurants, any housekeeping needs, etc. All at a click of a button. Moreover, as were on an all inclusive plan, it provided transparency as to what is included in the meals/drinks package. • They also surprised us with bed decoration and cake on our anniversary day which was really thoughtful. • The checkout experience was also smooth from resort to airport. Special mention to • Sathish from aqua bar who was so passionately serving everyone. We never had to choose any drink and would rely on his secret ingredients for each different cocktails that we enjoyed at aqua bar. He had good knowledge and would recommend appropriate cocktails before the meal and digestive drinks post meal. • Senthil from food department. He took notice that it was our 10th anniversary and took extra effort to arrange a special dinner reservation at the italian restaurant. He was fun to interact with and a good sense of humour, and made our stay more comfortable and special with his gestures. • The staff at reef restaurant namely masud and green who were always serving with a smile. • Jamsheed from housekeeping who was so dilligently managing to keep our room clean and amenities re-stocked at all times. We rarely felt a need to call for housekeeping services.

From the time we arrived at male airport, till we left the airport after 5 days, it was absolute pamper. At arrival, was greeted by jerry at a14 counter who helped with the luggage and got us our sea plane tickets. Our room attendant, a special mention to jomshed who went above and beyond to make our stay amazing. He did a great decoration for the honeymoon, the champagne was amazing, and he was ever polite. His assistant mani was very diligent as well. At the buffet, the egg section was my fav and was always greeted with the chef remembering my orders from everyday. K a green, the waiter was very polite. At the thai restaurant, pablo was amazing at serving, and the food was amazing. The checkout process was smooth and the resident manager, mr. Nalin dissanayake was amazing with coordinating everything. I would like to write a special thank you note for the resident dr. Rams-ha sale-em who was so very sweet to provide quick consultation and pills for my migraine and was every polite in asking us about our well being at the resort for next 3 days. She is very diligent in her job, as me and my wife are both doctors and we saw her working many time very late, to take care of guests who needed her attention. I would say it’s a great stay. And i am sorry to mention the villa itself! what a beautiful view with calm and pristine waters, great snorkeling and kayaking experience, open hot water shower at the patio was my favorite. A great experience.

Our stay at centara grand resort was very comfortable. The staff working here are assets of the resort. Our special thanks to ms. May who was always ready to help us with warm smile. She went out of her way to ensure we are having nice time on the island. Mr. Happy and mr pablo were another gem who made our stay very special. Hk attendant mahfus made sure our suite is always clean and tidy. All the kitchen and service staff were kind and helpful. But i would not miss to state that reception front office staff could have been little more cooperative. Our most of the calls to reception desk went unanswered. There never used to be timely confirmation from them. We used to call reception desk twice thrice for getting our requests done. Reception, front desk is a area of improvement which centara should strongly focus on for now.

Property is located quite far and you get to enjoy the views of the islands from sky, the rooms are good but the hospitality quotient is missing. The reception guy asked us to pay for the seaplane transfers without even offering a glass of water. Even after asking for water, he insisted that we make the payment first. Although we had booked the resort 10 days in advance with full payment, it took an hour to finally get inside the room. The staff also struggles with speaking english and is not able to communicate effectively.

Maldives is indeed a beautiful country. But what made our stay special and wonderful, is Team Centara's service, approach and literally they have gone out of the way in accomodating our requests and making our stay super comfortable. I would really recommend this place for everyone, families, couples, they have something to offer to everyone. I really don't think i can complaint about anything except the sun, but what is maldives without sun, sand and sea.

Stay was good. Staff is very cooperative and pleasant. Property is maintained. Snorking instructor was very good. Best part we saw very good marine life whole snorking. I strongly rec-commend this property those like to see marine life while snorkling. Reccomend to arrange good amount of fan or cooler while having lunch and dinner during summer. Spa was very good and very relaxing. Overall we enjoyed stay very much.

The property is very good but the staff here are not cooperative and see that their work is completely without caring about the customer comfort. They boarded me the seaplane in a hurry without having my breakfast but i have to wait in the seaplane for 40minutes bcoz the travelers from other resort didn’t board the seaplane

Everything was well organised from staff to places to activities. A couple friendly destination, much recommended for spending quality time with your loved ones.

Beautiful property with great, self motivated, friendly staff, huge room sizes - exceptionality cleaned twice every day and excellent food with good variety!
