Overall a good stay
Overall we had a good stay here. The room was not very big but had everything we needed including a fridge which was very useful. The shuttle was also very good - reliable and pleasant. The staff were friendly and the location is good for Venice via the shuttle. The only downside was that we were charged an extra 30 euros for our visit even though we had it in writing that the cheaper price was the correct one. We were told that we had initially booked for 1 person in a double room and then changed it to 2 people and so the extra charge. I have no memory of this happening and when I got home I checked many dates and the price was the same whether for 1 or 2 people stayed in a double room so I would just like to warn people to be on the look out for this as it cast a shadow over an otherwise good holiday.

Clean, spacious, comfortable
We (2 people) stayed here as part of a tour group for 2 nights. The staff are friendly and bilingual. The check in was fast. The rooms are large and clean. The room had AC and TV but didn’t have a fridge. The shower had good pressure and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was American style with coffee machine and OJ. The location is just off the motor way but it’s very quiet to sleep and easy to get around. Overall a pleasant stay.

Beware Hidden Fees
Definitely a mixed experience. I liked the restaurant and particularly the very helpful and welcoming maitre d'. That's why this is a two star review and not a one-star.
The rooms are small, and there are no suite upgrades (I'm Spire at IHG). The doors don't close on their own, which is a safety risk. It's not easy to get to Venice proper other than by an expensive taxi.
But the offensive part is the hidden fees. The worst one is for water. They give out free bottles of water at the front desk, but the water in the room is 2.80 Euros. Now, they DO tell you the water isn't free in the rooms. But you have to literally open an envelope (!) that is kept on the stand next to the bed among other papers for room service, the do not disturb sign, and the list of TV channels.
When I complained, they took it off my bill, but I doubt they're going to change it as a policy for everyone.

Good hotel overall
Booking.com failed to pass on my booking to the hotel. I got no email back from them, contacted Booking.com who suggested I could phone the hotel and otherwise showed no interest in confirming the booking. I did phone the hotel and spoke to both Luca and Daniela on the front desk who took my word that I would show up and pay. Lots of effort by those two on the front desk to get me a family room when hotel otherwise full.
Hotel itself is getting on in years, but staff everywhere excellent. Restaurant good, shuttle service into the city takes ten minutes. My thanks to Luca and Daniela

Not too bad, I wouldn't stay a....
The good: They had my room ready for check in early. The room was spacious, big size bathroom but had a very small shower. The toiletries were a little poor. The towels had holes on them. That is a very small investment to give a better quality service to customers.
Our room was clean, however when we opened the refrigerator, it was dirty. I wouldn't put anything there or consume anything either.
Some of the personal at the front desk were very nice, others NOT so much.
The hotel looks run down, it is not a new property.
There are a lot of excursions that stay there, so I saw very long lines for check in. I at times counted over 6 tour buses parked in the hotel.
The hotel offers a shuttle to Piazza Rome where you take the vaporetos to the main attractions. However it is a little overpriced if you go with a big family. You can take a public bus that takes you to piazza Roma, but you have to walk a good 10 minutes. You decide what is more convenient for you.
Breakfast was ok, nothing special. Since they cater to so many tour companies, they have a special breakfast area for them with set menus. That area opens very early. So we had to wait for the regular dining room to open for the rest of the guests.
I stayed at a Sheraton hotel a couple of years ago and if I go back I would do the Sheraton. It was better experience. I wouldn't book this one again.
