I booked this hotel after reading the reviews regarding location etc and it seemed like the right place to spend time in VENICE, was I wrong. It is nowhere near Venice, I was terribly dissapointed to say the least! It was in a Village called Lido. By the time we caught a bus and then water taxi to Venice everyday, we could have stayed in a 5 Star in Marco Polo. If you are wanting a holiday without the hustle and bustle and not to see Venice as such, this is the Hotel for you! Besides the Hotel being in a sleepy little village, which is quaint and beautiful, the Hotel is neat, clean and well kept. The rooms are spacious and the Hotel is a museum built 225 years before Christ. So apart from the fact that I booked in wrong location, this Hotel is rather magnificent. If you are wanting to book in Venice for the Venice experience, gondolas etc.., rather stay in Marco Polo .
