You can find better!
Stayed at Infinity Hotel St Peter’s in May 2018 for 5 nights with my adult son.
The location is excellent! A short walk to Vatican City and to St. Peter’s square and Basilica. Very close to Ottaviano Metro station. So, as far as location goes, it is great!
The breakfast provided is ok. A selection of fruit, cereal, breads, croissants, cheese and cold cuts, yogurts and coffee and tea. It’s not an American buffet but it does the trick. It is served in a TINY room adjacent to where you check in. The staff is friendly enough. I called down to get extra pillows and a blanket and the front clerk came up within 5 minutes to bring them.
That’s where the good ends....
The room itself was in dire need of a paint job! Scuff marks on the walls, paint chipping away....although it seems like they have done some updating, they really need to do some upkeeping!
The walls must be very thin! It is noisy in those rooms! If someone sneezes across the hall, you’d think they’re in your bathroom for how close it souds!!
The doors to the rooms are also difficult to close properly, so instead for pushing on them firmly some of the guests just prefer to slam them shut! It’s really loud and disruptive. Now I know the hotel is not responsible for the manners (or lack there of) of their patrons, but they are, however, responsible for the locks they put on their doors. If they closed properly, perhaps guest would not feel like they have to slam them shut in order to insure they are closed properly!
Since I was travelling with my adult son and we did not feel like sharing a bed (!!) We had a room with 2 single beds. That was great until we actually layed on the beds!! Those mattresses were FINISHED!! We sunk right into the beds, the box springs were so used they cracked and creeked with every little movement! I did not feel too secure about those beds! They had seen quite a few more uses than they should have. They really were more than ready to be replaced. They were so bad, by the 3rd day, I woke up with such a stiff back that I had to go get medication for it! I am not a pickey person. I don’t expect to have a 5 star hotel when I book a 3 star one. But I do however, expect a minimum of a clean room, and a comfortable enough bed. No luxuries, no welcome basket uppon my arrival, just a clean, comfortable room! That’s what I expect from a 3 star hotel in Europe. And this was not it! Far from it.....

After a business trip to Rome, I decided to stay on for a few days and needed an affordable central hotel for a couple of nights.
This little gem did not disappoint. The price was incredible (for Rome)! The staff were super professional and helped me book a tour to Florence and gave me general guidelines for directions to the main attractions.
Breakfast was included in the price of the room and I had really good free wifii.
The room was a fair size and the bathroom was really modern with fluffy white towels and adequate toiletries.
It literally was a short walk across the bridge to the Vatican City and around the corner from some of the main shopping areas of the city.
Overall an amazing little find that I would highly recommend.

Avoid it - bad experience
Stayed here for 4 nights in April, 2018. Very good position, near the Ottaviano Metro and very close to Vatican. Stop - these are all the good things. The following is one of my worst experiences in tourism and I do travel.
1. On first day, we checked in room 124. It was full of mold in the bathroom and in the room there were visible signs as well. A strong odor was in room and we slept the first night with the A/C on and with the door open (until Midnight when we were cold). You can see the '' horror of it '' in the attached pictures. The smell was absolutely disgusting, we were actually afraid not to get sick.
This room had a small terrace in the inner court, with pebbles on the ground, though very small and there was no chairs or table. Try to understand that this mold room 124 was supposed to be a superior deluxe room...
2. The second day we were moved in the ''only free room'', room no 109. No mold there, but:
a) the lamps didn't' work at all (you either switched the light completely off or you were with everything on.. how romantic...).
b) the window was very small and the ''room with a view'' was in (another court yard) - but this time smaller (maybe 20 mp) and with a lot of A/C units constantly working. So, we couldn't open the window,as there was noise from the units and a gross smell which entered the room.
c) both rooms had walls in very poor condition: dirt, footsteps on it.
3. In ALL the 4 days, at exactly 8 am drilling began in the entire hotel - the receptionist told me they have only 1 floor (the 1st), the rest are private apartments. So, between 8 am and 8 pm constant working constructions were on the way - try to get some sleep if you can...
4. Breakfast was ok, but after 4 days, one would get tired of the same 3 kind of meat, tomatoes, 2 types of croissant etc. Good juice and almost good coffee (would have expected more, as this was supposed to be Italy).
5. The staff was ok, except for one Philippines receptionist, who was constantly upset - or maybe just din't have a good command of English, I don't know. She gave us some good tips on a restaurant nearby (Amalfi, try it), but apparently it was impossible for her to smile.
My advice - don't go here, as the conditions are probably the worst I've seen since 2003 (but that was a 1 star hotel). And... the prices are real high - I paid 515 Euro (plus local taxes of 32 Euro) for 4 nights, 2 persons.
I honestly don't know how other reviewers could have been pleased by this place - and trust me, I'm not pretentious.

DON'T TRUST GOOD REVIEWS...THI....
This was the worst experience. Old rooms, smelly ventilation (like something died in the room). Currently 24 hour construction next door. Bed springs popping through mattress. Rude staff. So many other great options on same street. I know because I moved to them. Don't waste your money on this bad place. Good reviews are not accurate and can't be trusted. Didn't sleep all night and couldn't wait to get out of there at the crack of dawn.

Dissapointing second visit
On our first visit about three years ago I rated this hotel very high and recommended it warmly. On our second visit in Fabruary 2017 at the hotel we were very disappointed this time.
We ordered 2 rooms, both of which had the strong smell and signs of mold.
After our complains at the reception, we were upgraded us to larger rooms on a higher floor, but there was still a strong smell of mold and we had to constantly ventilate the room by opening windows.
The breakfast was very basic and if you get up late, some of the choices were missing.
The location is great, the staff is nice, but for this price there are better options in Rome.
