LOCATION VS COST VS 'LUXURY'
As on other reviews of this hotel, if you are wanting a luxury hotel, and not planning to leave your room, then this would not be the hotel for you.
It is incredibly basic.
We had a quadruple room so space was scarce. Little storage but then we were only there for 3 days so lived out of our bags. However, clean supply of towels and the room was clean. Bathroom was a bit shabby, with some cracked tiles, but was clean.
STAFF -- overall really lovely and friendly.
TOP TIP -- if you want a shower get in early, as by 9am (the one day we did a later start) , the hot water had gone !!!
DISAPPOINTING BREAKFAST; the most basic of continental breakfasts -- sticky pastries, bread, cereal, yoghurt and toast.... missing cheese and cold meats that I would expect. ALSO.. no freshly brewed coffee, instead out of a vending machine.
LOCATION -- ideally located for Termini station and tram/underground at Republicca. Sites within walking distance include Coliseum, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Trajans Forum.
In summary, what we saved on the hotel cost to enable an extra days stay, we gained in location.

Basic but perfectly adequate
We stayed in the Embassy Hotel in Mar 18 for a weekend break in Rome. The rooms are basic but clean. Breakfast is provided in the form of a cold buffet, pastries, bread etc. The hotel is ideally located and only a 10 minute walk from Termini Station. If you want luxury this is not for you! Spend more money on a luxury hotel. If you want a place to sleep while you explore Rome , it’s fine. Cheep and cheerful!

Everything you need
If you’re the type of traveler who is only in their room to sleep (and maybe a nap after a long tour), then this hotel is for you. Very basic. My friend and I found the bed to be comfortable enough at the end of the day. There’s a shower and surprisingly fast WiFi (we streamed Netflix every night before bed). My only qualm was that the location was not as central as I thought it was. Definitely check out Gastronima D’Angelo around the corner for a great cornetto!

Great Value and location
I stayed here in late October till early November on a pilgrimage/vacation. The hotel was excellently locates to provide easy access to transport links and tour buses.
I was warmly welcomed by the gentleman on the main desk and he gave me the run down on the services in the hotel and how to access my room.
The room was the right size for me and was really well laid out. The bathroom was basic but functional.
The breakfast is continental.
For people staying for Religious reasons the English speaking parish of St. Patrick is located right around the corner.

3* basic but nothing more need....
Clean, basic and practical. Perfect walking distance for both Termini train station, Republicca or Barbini metro stations and all the main attractions. As I said it was basic however when in Rome I didn't want to spend lots of time in my room with all the beautiful sites to see. The staff on reception were not overly friendly but did answer any questions and offered assistance when needed. Breakfast was basic, just sweet cakes and toasts but enough to set you up for a day site seeing.
Be careful around the main tourist attractions when choosing eating places, we found the best places down small side streets for a more authentic experience.
Public transport was easy to to use. Just three metro lines so very easy to figure out. They had a 100min ticket which was valid for 100mins from time of purchase for 1 journey for 1€50.
3* hotel does what it says on the tin!
