We were back for the 2nd time!
We were a group of 18 family and friends who stayed and occupied the entire B&B Perseo and the entire B&B Laocoonte from Oct. 3-7, 2018 before our Mediteranean cruise. My husband and I stayed at Laocoonte in 2011, and decided that the B&B is not fancy but certainly a good value for our money.
Our host, Hiromi, was very welcoming when we checked in. Laocoonte is on the second floor of one of the buildings fronting a courtyard. The B&B, located in a residential area, is decent, clean and smoke-free. It is a short 18-minute walk to St. Peter’s Basilica. There are 4 rooms, each of which has a small fridge, a safe, a closet, and working AC. Beds are comfortable, and the host provided more pillows as requested. The bathrooms are well-kept and tidy, and provided with shampoo/conditioner, soaps and fresh towels. Water pressure is good. Wifi is fast and reliable. The Italian breakfast, brought to our rooms daily, consisted of cappuccino and croissant that are always fresh and hot, yogurt, and orange juice. Hiromi went out of her way to serve an early breakfast on the Wednesday that we attended the Papal audience. The place is secure and safe as you need 3 keys to get to your room – one for the gate, one for the building door, and one for the room. The hosts, Giordano and Hiromi, made our stay comfortable. Both of them are a wealth of information not only regarding Rome attractions, but also necessities such as eating places and laundromats. Laocoonte offers useful amenities including a phone to use in case of emergency, Rome maps, business cards of gelato stores and restaurants, a hot/cold water dispenser, teas and instant coffee, and candies.
The B&B feels like home because we see our hosts only in the morning so we had the place to ourselves. The hosts even arranged for our three transfers - pickup from Rome airport to the B&B, B&B to Civitavecchia, and Civitavecchia to airport, all at very reasonable costs.

Rome for couples
The location is very good close to the Vatican. Few minutes by walk from the Vatican museum, Piazza San Pietro and Metro station "Cipro". Very helpful and friendly staff and great service, clean room. Very fast confirmation after booking, within 24 hours we got an e-mail with many information, the ways of approach, possibilities, tours of Vatican etc. Breakfast served in the room with a delicious capuccino (or hot drink what you like) to fill up the tourist with power. I would stay here again!

Beautiful little place to stay....
We are just back form a 4 night stay here and I can't speak highly enough about it. The location is great very handy to Vatican City and the Metro system is really reliable and cheap. This is a great way to explore the city. If I came back to Rome I would definatley stay here again. The breakfast each morning was great too.

Turism in rome
This has been such a wonderfull surprise. The hotel is very well situated close to the vatican and metro station 3 blocks. Since we arrive there was a paper outside the building with our name. The room is clean. Good beds and a cool rustic style. They offered us even medicines just in case you need them. Water and candies. In the morning a good simple breakfast at your room. I forgot even my cell phone in the hotel and they sended me back to spain without cost. Such a marbelous owners. More people like this no doubt! Fantastic experience in rome.
