Not up to standard
We stayed here for two nights. Room was large in size and reasonably clean. The plumbing in bathroom can be a bit noisy, but not too concerning. The big issue is they do not provide tea/coffee cups, instead they provide two white styrofoam cups and two wooden stirrer sticks, and no milk. I contacted reception the first night and proper cups were bought up, however the next day they removed the china cups and replaced with the styrofoam. That night after touring all day and wanting a cup of tea I was told that they only provide styrofoam cups, eventually after going to reception I was able to get two cups. As a hotel that is meant to be part of the Mercure group one would not expect styrofoam cups.
This hotel is away from the city, and although it is close to a tram stop (check times they don't appear to go past at night) there is little else around and the area seems a bit unsafe at night. There are no cafes or grocery stores close by, there is a restaurant across the road but I am unsure if it offers breakfast or lunch. I would have to say given the distance from the city and lack of cafes etc I would not stay here again.

Usual good sercice
Very helpful staff, has public transport near by and good restaurants around the corner of you don't fancy going too far. Rooms are old fashion though, differs from the usual modern and sleek that I am used to. I would certainly consider returning for their service.

Authentic Italian hotel
Stayed here during a football break, and it was great. An authentic Italian hotel in every way. Friendly staff and the location was very good with trams available just round the corner. Food was the only issue, as they didn’t serve an evening meal.

Very small room
We reserved a "triple" room because there were 3 of us and the photos we saw showed 3 beds side by side or a double bed and a twin sized bed.
The room we got was a small room with a double bed and a folding cot at the foot of the bed. We couldn't even use the desk or even open the mini-bar fridge because the cot was in the way.
It was at an okay location, it's about 5min (400m) walk to Piazza Firenze where you can take the light rail/tram. There's a couple of restaurants nearby as well. It felt pretty safe, there weren't a lot of tourists around so I suppose it doesn't attract many pickpockets or purse snatchers. There's nothing to see around the area so it's a nice, quiet place to get away from the busy parts of Milan.
The breakfast was okay, just your average continental fare, but it was good enough for us.

Nice hotel but dated
The hotels reception staff are excellent, very helpful and friendly. The rooms are very dated with cracks on the walls, and some of the single bedrooms were converted into doubles, so only the bed fits, with no place to move. Breakfast was very good. I'd give 3 stars.
