This was our first stay at Hotel Fortunella from 18/5/18-28/5/18. The hotel had a warm and friendly atmosphere. The proprietors were extremely helpful when asked for information on bus and train times to tourist venues close to Lido Di Camaiore ie Pisa, Florence and Lucca. The rooms and the hotel are spotlessly clean. The food is very good and there is plenty of choice and is presented as a buffet at breakfast and waiter service for evening meal. The girls waiting on tables are charming and helpful. We would certainly recommend this Hotel to anyone and will look forward to returning again.

Another wonderful stay at a su....
This was our third stay at this hotel and it never disappoints, the hospitality shown by all the staff is excellent. The food is superb, the staff are very helpful and the room we had was kept spotless by the cleaners, cant fault it at all. Trips to Pisa and Lucca are easily arranged using the local buses and during the main holiday season coach trips to various places of interest can be arranged through the hotel. Will be booking again next year.

We stayed at Hotel Fortunella for 1 week from 13/05/2018-20/05/2018 and can certainly recommend this hotel , the hotel is an ideal base to visit other places of interest.
This is a relatively small hotel which is run very well by the family that own it , nothing is too much trouble , all the staff work incredibly hard to maintain an exceptionally reasonable standard , it’s very clean , all rooms have televisions and fridges and the beds are comfortable, the shower is very good , only 2 slight criticisms firstly it would be nice if tea and coffee making facilities were available and the second was the antiquated hairdryer but they are the only 2 minor faults, I can say, the food is plentiful especially breakfast and the evening meal consists of 4 courses , you choose what you would like for evening meal the night before again a very decent standard of food .
The rooms are quite spacious a with balconies and at the front of the hotel the views of the mountains are stunning, the promenade and sea is a short walk , the beach and the promenade are exceptionally clean and make for a very pleasant walk .
The high season doesn’t really start till the end of May so lots of bars weren’t actually open yet and the ones that were , were closing around 10 in the evening , however we still had a lovely experience for our 1st time in Italy.
Thank you all at Fortunella for your hospitality we hope to see you again soon

Did not have the advertised gr....
I would have rated this hotel higher had it not been so miss described on the Thomson website where they claimed that it has grounds where you can relax and sunbathe and had the air conditioning been switched on.It is a small hotel on a very busy road.It has virtually no grounds. The air conditioning was not switched on and we had two options:-
1. To sleep in our top floor room which was far too hot or
2. To open the windows and be kept awake by the traffic.
The staff were generally very pleasant and helpful apart from regarding the air conditioning and the fact that they seemed annoyed that we did not order wine every evening to the point where we were generally served last every mealtime and on the latter two occasions where we did want wine we struggled to get attention.Salvatore was extremely helpful in planning our trips.
The food was generally good,in particular the starters, but the main courses were variable in quantity and quality, it was much better at the start of the week.My lamb cutlets consisted of 1 1/2 small cutlets which were barely 3 mouthfuls and the desserts were also very small.Things from one meal reappeared at the next. We were hungry after dinner on 3 occasions and the other couple that we travelled with chose to eat out several times as they were very disappointed with the food.We would normally eat less during the day when it is hot and more in the evenings, but ended up having larger lunches of pasta.I would usually struggle not to put on weight on holiday, but it was not a problem here.My husband was often hungry in the evenings .
Our room was very nice and had a huge balcony and it was kept spotlessly clean but the lack of sleep that I experienced and the lack of grounds spoilt the holiday for me.

This is the one
This is my first Trip Advisor review. Because the Hotel Fortunella is so good I wanted to share it...
Many hoteliers ask you to write a review and I always just smile politely. Until now.
Salvatore and his sister Grazia and family simply can't do enough for you. They are perfect hosts.
Ask them about a day trip (or three) and they'll furnish you with all the information you need. They tell you how to get to the bus stop or railway station, they have bus tickets, timetables - and for one trip provided us with a note in Italian to show the station ticket clerk to get just the tickets we needed.
The meals are far, far beyond what you would expect from a little family hotel - real quality. And it's good to mingle in the lounge over a pre-dinner cocktail.
A lovely, friendly place. If you are looking at two or three hotels before choosing, your search is over. It's this one.
