Nice hotel with sea location b....
The best about this hotel is its location on the charming harbour island just by the Altstadt in Stralsund.
Walking out from the hotel, you are on the quay, 20 meters from the sea, with seagulls crying, and cormorants and ducks in the water around you, and boats moored to the quay.
The hotel is next door to Ozeaneum, and it's about 10 minutes walk from Alter Markt.
The room was good, adequately large and nicely appointed, with desk, a little table, and two chairs, and a nice view of the Altstadt. And the rooms on the other side of the hotel instead have sea view I think.
The bed was a little hard for my liking, but everyone has their own preference in this.
What was nice in this room, was that it was easy to regulate the temperature in this room. It was a little cool when I arrived, but heated up quickly as I turned the knob on the radiator, (and cooled down when I turned the heating down).
The Wifi in the room and the whole hotel worked fine. But there is no encryption on the WLAN, and my Internet protection App kept complaining the WiFi was unsafe.
The rooms on the upper floors are accessed from a narrow staircase, and there is no elevator.
The breakfast was a large German breakfast buffet, with breads, meat and cheese, salad, different home made salads, (herring salads, egg salad, cottage cheese etc), fruit and fruite salad and boiled eggs.
I particularly liked the carrot/apple salad and the orange/star anis salad.
The coffee, served at the table, was a little weak, but this seams to be normal in this area.
What I did not note at the time but realized afterwards was that I did not notice any vegetarian / vegan sandwich spreads, such as for instance hummus or olive paste. Which in 2017 / 2018 I would expect in a breakfast buffet of this size.
(there were things like cucumber slizes etc though).
The staff were friendly enough, but a just a little bit disinterested and unpersonal. This also I think is normal to the area.
There is a restaurant attached to the hotel, and it is reasonably priced compared to the prices in the area.
I ate twice there and was satisfied with the food. However, there are many other eating options, in the immediate area.
I stayed a few days around Christmas 2017, leaving on Christmas day.

The location inthe habour is greata d the comfort rooms we booked were a good size and well thought out. Their breakfast should be mentioned for its many different options and very fair price (€11,00).All the staff we met were quite nice and helpful. Stay here, when in Stralsund.

nice hotel but small rooms
The hotel is next to the Ocean Museum and the harbour. Very convenient location if you have a car, because you can park in front of the hotel (you pay for that). Walking distance from the Old and the New Market, where the main attractions are. The room I was given was small, but enough to fit two people in it. Very clean and comfortable. No lift in the building, so that you have to carrry your own luggage up and down (no one offered us any help). Internet wifi was not good at all on the second floor.

Nice rooms with a great locati....
Modern rooms by the harbour. A perfect location near Alter markt and Ozeanum. The breakfast is one of the best we have had in Germany, and we have been there alot. Parking on the dock just outside the hotel is available at a cost. A drawback is there is no elevator.

Best location in Stralsund
Tthis hotel lays directly in the harbour overlooking the see. Rooms are good but be prepared to walk in tricky stairs. The hotel a very nice and family like atnosphere and it is easy to park outside the hotel. The very best moment was having a good breakfast outside in the sunshine
