Great place to stay for busine....
This was my second time at the City Partner Hotel Berliner Hof. First time was there was years ago. When I had the opportunity to visit Karlsruhe again, I knew exactly where to stay.
Tasteful, clean, comfortable rooms. My room this time was right by the elevator, and I didn't notice at all. Welcoming and helpful staff (for example, I forgot to print a document I needed in advance and the staff were happy to help with printing). Very nice breakfast spread, if you choose to include.
Excellently located either a nice walk or easy tram from the central station. Very central to city attractions, the palace, and the park. I believe that they sometimes offer bike rentals, as well.

Clean and quiet room, very fai....
Have stayed there a couple of times now and it is always good to be there.
The staff is very friendly and booking works very well via email. You can cancle late even at the day of arrival until 18:00h, especially a good option for business traveller.
Breakfast is abundant and fair priced at EUR 9 for the supplied buffet.
There are smoking and designated non-smoking rooms available, WLAN is for free and in good quality.
The rooms are not very large and simple but all you need is there and a good bedding and clean.
For the budget traveller opt for the rooms under the roof, this includes limited headroom in some areas of the room due to the roof inclination, but the price is really a bargain. AND: this are the most quiet rooms as there is no or very few "traffic" of other guests.
The hotel is excellent located close to Europaplatz with only short walking distance (150 m) from a tram hub for travel to main station or inside the city.
There are also a couple of restaurants around.
Stayed there and will stay there again!

Close to City Center, palais a....
The hotel has that typical German touch, a bit classic, cosy, almost like family and generous. The service is friendly, breakfast very good. The room is good, enough space to work, a little out of fashion, but clean. And every day a nice bottle of sparkling water served by the hotel. There are a lot of restaurants in the neighbourhood for evening dinner. Price / quality is absolutely good, not a big business hotel, more family like ..but very pleasant to stay ..also for business purposes.

Perfect weekend getaway home
The Berliner Hof is located within a few walking minutes of the palace gardens and the city centre with all the major bus and tram stops. For a weekend visit, there's simply no better base to start from.
It's clean, quiet, tidy,well-kept and has modern fittings in the en-suite bathroom. The staff was friendly, so I'll definitely be staying there again during my next visit.
There was one minor hickup: the hotel advertises a parking lot, but forgot to mention how narrow the entrance is. If you arrive by car, make sure you know exactly how wide your car is! However, the staff immediately provided an alternative parking solution, so even this was not a big problem.
I can't comment on the breakfast buffet as I enjoyed going to some of the many nearby bakeries in the morning.

The hotel can be easily reached by public transportation, it is very close to Europaplatz where many trams, S-bahns and buses stop. The stuff was fine, they answered my request for iron and leaving the luggage after check-out. Hotel has a sauna but I did not try it. The breakfast was very tasteful and with a decent offer of healthy stuff and the dinning room is very nice. Stuff there was kind. The room was for a single person, therefor not too big, but fine, facing east side with a lot of sun in the morning. There was no air-conditioning, but there is a cooling fan on the table. There is no mini-bar, but a bottle of water is included in the price every day. There is a TV with plenty of channels in different languages. Toilet was fine, offering shower cabin and a hair dryer. There is a safe inside the room. Bed was comfortable. I wasn't really happy with the wi-fi strength at forth floor.
