A wonderful place to relax

The hotel is placed alongside the famous ski jumping area. Free parking is available. The personnel of the reception incl. the porter was very attentive and service minded - as in general the personnel gave a very service minded impression. The design and domestic equipment is somewhere old-fashioned and corny, reminding the good old times of noblesse - there are many people who might like this but is not my favorite. The former original Adler though is nicely refurbished with modern rooms - just taller people to watch out the height of 2 m! A nice spa area invites to spend time and relax. Areas for smaller kids to play inside and outside are available - though families are not the main clientel of the hotel. The breakfast buffet is just great - everyone can do scrambled eggs but such a delicious bread is not easy to find. And finally, the parkhotel actually has a nice park! And if you like to take a longer walk or hike, hiking routes to the surrounding mountains can be accessed from the hotel.

Nostalgic stay

Hinterzarten is an ideal place to stay for a short break in the scenic Black Forest . We stayed overnight at the Park Hotel , as it is near to several beautiful cross country ski areas and of course, is a beautiful hotel . After our enjoyable ski excursion in Rinken nearby , we checked in to the Park Hotel and were welcomed with a glass of ice cold non alcoholic prosecco before being shown to our room, aptly named " Joe Cocker," an indication that the hotel sees entertainment as a welcome plus . It was a very spacious suite in fact, which would be highly appreciated for a longer stay. The hotel has three restaurants; we can only speak of the Café Diva, where we opted for a light meal before soaking up the warmth and relaxation in the spa area . The spa itself has a steam bath and two saunas, one in a hut outside with a log fire inside as in Finland. There is also an indoor pool area , which is perfect for children , as the special play area in the hotel for the younger family members. Our evening was complete in the bar lounge as there was a musician who led us though a repertoire of soft rock music , swing , Italian opera and even accompanied a young lady who asked if she could perform a few of her own favourites .This was the highlight of the stay . The drinks menu includes a wide variety of cocktails and the service was attentive . Breakfast the following day left nothing to wish for except for a return visit as soon as possible .

A really gorgeous hotel in a scenic and quiet area. Just stayed one night but wish it was longer! Staff were helpful and the hotel was quiet and peaceful. Our room was spacious with a modern large bathroom and a comfy bed. The complimentary breakfast was also excellent - huge selection and everything fresh and delicious. Parking is underground and shared with other local hotels - but it is also complimentary which is a nice touch. Really lovely stay and would definitely return if we were in the area again!

Superb luxury comfort and serv....

We were lucky enough to spend 5 days in this fabulous treasure. Recommended by friends we had one of the most relaxing luxury breaks. Always something to do, we went walking through the beautiful scenery, visited the local villages/towns/eateries and returned each day to make full use of the luxury pools, sauna and gym facilities. Whilst there are many lovely restaurants and cafes nearby you really can’t beat the atmosphere, great table service and excellent food at the hotel’s restaurants. The Marie Antoinette restaurant was beyond a 5 star experience, but we did also enjoy the more relaxed ambience of their Cafe Diva (try one of their famous home made cakes here!). Truly magic! If you’re looking for a real escape, with the best in hotel accomodation and dining - topped off with the most attentive service then this is a real gem - a rare find - one of the best! Thank you so much to the the charming owners and the whole team - true class! We’ll be back!

A lovely hotel, with caveats

Parkhotel Adler is a very comfortable hotel, in a lovely setting, with a helpful, pleasant, and professional staff. The park is beautiful and a stroll through it is delightful. The caveat: if you are not sharing a room, beware of the small bed assigned to the single rooms. It's only three-quarters size, a rarity for American travelers. The first room I had, was dark and small. I was moved to a room overlooking the park, with a step-up sitting area and a balcony--very comfortable-- but the bed was still just three-quarters. It's odd that a hotel with such high standards offers single rooms with those beds. The bathroom was large, the amenities luxurious. The food at the Park maintains the hotel's high standards: the breakfast buffet is lavish and two of the three restaurants we tried were excellent.
