Best hotel ever!!!!
Recently stayed here with my girlfriend towards the end of November and I can’t stress enough just how perfect this place is!! The cosiest, comfiest room ever! The room we stayed in was fantastic. We stayed on the first floor looking over the main road. Amazing floor to ceiling windows which were soundproof if you needed it but also amazing to look out of and watch the trams go by. Huge, spacious bedroom! The best way of describing the rooms is: imagine staying at your favourite aunt’s or nan’s and staying in their guest room with all the comfy white pillows and picture frames, but with extra style. Seriously, I can’t get over how amazing the room was! Wet room bathroom!! Badass!!!! Loads of storage. Comfy bed. Maybe, pound for pound, the best hotel room I’ve ever stayed in! Breakfast was as expected, continental, but the restaurant area where we had our breakfast was as good as it looked in the pictures. Definitely situated in a good spot. Prenzlauerberg is definitely a good base if you’re spending a few days in Berlin. The hotel is perfectly situated. 5 minute walk to Alexanderplatz. 10 minute walk the other way to loads of amazing restaurants! The only thing for me that stops this place being perfect is the fact they have a coffee machine in the rooms instead of a kettle and how you’ve got to buy more Nespresso pods. But that’s just me. All in all, one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in!!! Brilliant!!!!

Nice place for a short stay
I stayed here for two nights. The studio was clean, light, airy and in the side-window I could see the tv-Tower. Nice! I thought it might be noisy during the night, but it was not, even though we had an open window out to a busy street. Great location, short stroll to U-Bahn and tram and to a lot of cafes and restaurants in Prenzlauer Berg. A small backyard where you can have a coffee or a glas of wine. Friendly staff. I Guess I will stay here again. Did not try the breakfast.

Great Hotel apts
Overall very happy with our five night stay here. Staff very helpful. Studios good sized, clean and well equipped. Location great for easy access to central Berlin, and on the edge of a nice calm residential area, good to walk around and look for somewhere to eat - found excellent places every time.
A couple of watch outs for some people - front rooms would be very noisy (traffic) with the window open in the summer and no ac, so look for the back rooms. Reception closes at 22.00, and they use a key locker system if you arrive after this time, however you need to ring them to get the code.

My partner and I were looking forward to staying here, however, unfortunately our flight from the UK to Berlin was cancelled due to the weather. I phoned the studios as soon as I found out, to explain the situation and spoke to Petros who was understanding and helpful, but needed to check with his boss if a refund was possible. Petros called me back to say they would be charging us for the first 2 nights of our planned 4 night stay, but that if they managed to sell the room, we would be refunded in full. When I saw later that day that there was no availability showing on booking.com I sent a screenshot to the studios assuming this would mean we could be refunded as agreed, but the studios said they hadn't managed to sell the room despite booking.com (who we had booked with) showing no availability for either of the nights we had been charged for. We are following up with booking.com but I am very disappointed. When a situation is outside of our control, I had hoped for a bit more understanding, perhaps offering to move our dates if not willing to refund us, although I do appreciate the studios didn't want to be out of pocket either, which is why I was pleased for both of us when booking.com showed our room had been rebooked. We plan to return to Berlin but my dealings with these studios has put me off considering to stay there when we do. Please check the small print in the booking.com terms and conditions as although it can state free cancellation and pay nothing til you are at the property, as we have found out, there are exceptions and time restrictions, and if the property is showing as unavailable it apparently doesn't mean they have no rooms!

Smart apartment-hotel in Prenz....
This apartment-hotel is located on a main street, Prenzlauer Allee, in Prenzlauerberg, a hip inner northern area of Berlin, with Metzer Strasse tram stop nearby. The design aesthetic is warm and welcoming - which is unfortunately not the attitude of the reception staff on our arrival.
We had several issues with our booking initially, which was eventually resolved:
- We requested, and the hotel agreed, to pay in cash - yet the hotel charged our credit card which was only used to reserve the booking. We had to request a refund, and with the exchange rate differences over several days, this cost us some additional monies in the end.
- We had paper booking confirmation evidence for our stay that included breakfast, which reception refused initially to honour. It took several conversations with different staff before the hotel manager eventually agreed that breakfast was included in our booking.
Room: spacious, clean, comfortable and light filled on the 6th floor with a balcony, with views to the back and of adjacent building and the construction site next door! Small sitting/eating area and cupboard storage off entry.
Kitchenette with adequate supply of crockery, cutlery, cookware etc. for a short stay. Bar fridge/freezer, microwave, kettle, double induction cooktop. A Nespresso coffee maker sits on the kitchenette bench but disappointingly you get only 2 capsules from reception on checkin (as a ‘welcome gift” instead of some provided supplies in-room) - then it is €1.00 for each additional capsule!! Salt, pepper, sugar, coffee creamer, dishwashing liquid, scrub, dishcloth, tea towel, garbage bags provided.
The small bathroom is spacious enough with a separate tiled shower area and a heated towel rail keeps the room nice and warm. Housekeeping attended to our room once in the middle of our week’s stay to change the bedlinen, towels, empty rubbish bins etc.
- Provided - hangers, liquid soap, body wash/shampoo, hairdryer, wall-mounted tv, telephone, candles (no matches), towels (rather thin, one had a hole!)
- Not provided - toaster, iron or ironing board, room safe
- The double bed has a too-soft, bouncy mattress, warm quilts and lumpy soft pillows
- Wifi is sightly frustrating to connect to, is sometimes not available, but ok when connected
- The room is air-conditioned/heated with openable double-glazed windows for fresh air.
- Street parking: you will need a residential parking permit obtained from the hotel for €8/day
- Small selection of drinks and snacks available at additional cost at reception.
- Buffet continental breakfast for €12.50/person - a very small, limited selection of the usual suspects, although the bread rolls and croissants are good. There are better options around the neighbourhood.
Summary: Convenient location close to city centre, spacious and nicely designed rooms with good amenities overall, however the booking issues and the attitudes and behaviour of some staff somewhat soured our experience initially, which could have been an entirely positive one.
