Little bit strange
Possibly a norrmal type place for Germany but in a sort of shopping centre and with the best spot for dinner in a bowling alley in the building.
Staff was OK and the rooms pretty average but not a high cost place either.
Easy to get into town using the bus but don't run that often.

Good only for a short stay.
It looks like a U.S. highway hotel from the 60's. Its far from the city center, next door to a bowling and games hall. Its staff is not friendy. The rooms are small but OK for just one day. The bus that takes you to the city center stops at the corner just crosing the avenue. It's a 15 minutes ride or so. Although the hotel is on a quite busy avenue , heavy load trcuks passing by, it's remarkably silent for such a spot. The breakfast is good but nothing special. There's a meeting room just by the breakfast area, so you see business people coming and going while you have breakfast. In Bamberg old city center, buses run only every 40' after 8 PM, so keep that in mind when returning to the hotel.

Budget Friendly and Clean
My husband and I stayed here overnight. We previously lived in Bamberg, so we are familiar of the area. This is a basic hotel. Clean, friendly staff, ample parking, excellent breakfast. It would be out of the way for tourists. However, the bus stop in nearby and could take you directly downtown within 10 minutes. There are a couple restaurant choices within walking distance. Perfect for business trips or anyone who is looking for a budget friendly, safe, and clean hotel. They are also pet friendly. Dogs cost an extra 8 euros per night. There is a bowling alley located in the hotel, so it may be a little noisy. We stayed on a Friday and the noise was not that bad. I was satisfied and will probably stay there again, as we visit the area often. Oh, really great breakfast with a variety of options and a cappuccino/espresso machine.

This was my second stay here and I specifacally chose this hotel because of my first positive experience. This time, I must say, I was terribly dissappointed.
I emailed the hotel first to make a direct reservation and since I had a couple question, I was hoping they could be answered before I even get my reservation finalized. After a week of not hearing one word from the hotel, I made a reservation via booking a day before my arrival as I really needed to make arrangements. Booking.com allowed me to choose a double large bed instead of two and I even repeated my questions in the available comment box hoping, I could have my answers now. Nothing happened so when I finally arrived I was already annoyed with the hotel's approach.
The receptionist greeted me nicely, I paid and when I was handed a set of keys I made sure to ask if I am getting a room with one bed. The receptionist advised me that there are two beds so I handed the keys back and asked for a room I ordered. For good 10 minutes she kept on saying there is no other room available but me insisting and asking for a discount got me the room I wanted. Of course, it was available.
The room was clean, old furnishing that needs to be updated and the pillows need to be exchanged. You cannot even call it a pillow. More like a small blanket that you have to fold to get at least some head support.
After the incident, the reception would not say a simple HI any of those times I walked past.
I am definitely never staying here again.
