Cute hotel, but some serious i....
The hotel itself is good - very quaint and cute (the 2 man elevator is so amazing), and the modern deco is chch and uplifting. However, there is no hiding that this is a refurbished hotel, and the age is telling from the building's ageing infrastructure. We had a room with two major issues - the television kept losing signal (from a very loose cable wall connection port, that the host fixed by plugging it back in... Which soon fell out again), carpet which kept getting strangely wet near the entrance but not near any visible water source (that was dried up after we brought it to the attention of the host... And wet again two days later).
That said, the host is attentive and helpful, and the staff in general were very friendly.

To start off, hotels in Paris aren’t as easily seen compared those in NY. This particular hotel is next to two other hotels so look for a small sign or the name on their door. Upon entering, my fiancée and I really loved the decor, It has a retro/vintage feel. The receptionist was very helpful being that this was our first time in Paris, he showed us the closest metro lines in our area (super easy to get around and CHEAP). The hotel has a lovely courtyard and a small restaurant inside the hotel, if you choose to stay in.
The room- Ours was located on the first floor. We aren’t used to hotels being this compact, there is a small tiny vintage elevator (enough to fit one of our check in luggage’s) available and stairs right next to it. We sent out luggage through the elevator while we carried the carry-on’s up the stairs. When I say the room is small... studio size small. We didn’t have that much room for all our luggage’s but we made do. The bathroom is in need of work.
Staff- All of the staff in this hotel were very helpful.
Location- We are located less than 5 mins from the metro line (cadet) and 10 mins away from metro line (Notre-Dame de Loretta). Cadet brings you straight to the Louvre and Notre-Dame is a perfect line to do easy exchanges.
Last thing about the hotel, they ask you to give the keys to the receptionist every time you leave the hotel. This of course made us a little uncomfortable being that all of our belongings were out in the open however, nothing went missing.
Food- There are plenty of options BUT DO NOT go to CASA BELLA. It’s the first Italian restaurant straight out of the hotel and the food was not good. The guy who served us (maybe owner) was rude! We met up with friends to start our night and had pizza and pasta. The pizza was flooded with onions and barely had any sauce/cheese. However, that wasn’t has horrible as the 4 cheese pasta, my fiancée opted out of the goat cheese that is usually included, but he must have forgotten bc she still got it and when she told him about it and sent it back, he still charged us, refused to make another, and told her it was our problem not his. McDonalds is located right by the Cadet metro line if you want a quick snack and plenty of cafe’s around.
Overall this hotel gets 4 stars, we stayed 4 nights and had no complaints.

Decent hotel but very small ro....
Good location with local cafes etc. Hotel itself was clean and welcoming. Had a problem connecting to internet which couldn’t be solved. Room was very very small while the bathroom was a good size with a nice powerful shower. Bed was very hard. Price of €152 per night was decent value for money but would probably try somewhere else if was to visit again.

Wonderful stay @ Hotel Bienven....
We had such a lovely stay at the Hotel Bienvenue. Warm, friendly & very helpful people.
The room was clean & nice with a view towards the synagogue. Also the food was delicious & tasty that we enjoyed in the restaurant.
I can highly recommend to stay here as the price/performance ratio is absolutely in accordance with what they offer.

WARNING! Bedbug alert!!!!
I really had one of my worst ever hotel experiences here. The rooms were tiny and from where I was above the kitchen a constant smell of food being cooked but I couldn't be moved as the hotel was full. Then halfway through my stay I woke up covered in bites that I recognized as bed bug bites. All over my face and body. In between my fingers and all over my neck, arms and legs.
I complained immediately but the only offer they gave me was to move to a disued room with a broken shower across the hall. No offer to get my clothes cleaned or to put me up somewhere else for the remainder of my stay. I left the hotel and came home and was so careful but somehow the bugs followed me home and took over my house. It cost me 1000's in dry cleaning, laundry and pest control and I've been suffering from accute anxiety since the panic of having to deal with this.
We went back and forth the hotel refunded me for my stay (the bare minimum!) but refused to compensate me at all for the inconvenience nor cover any of the charges incurred to me as an effect after staying at the hotel bienvenue. A real shame!!!!!
Will not be staying nor recommending this place.
