Only if desperate for accommod....
My friend and I decided to stay 2 extra nights in Paris and found this hotel that seemed reasonable for our needs. However, experience and hotel was not great. Hotel has no air-con (was 35 degrees every day), staff had no personality apart from the first guy who checked us in that had too much personality and thought it was appropriate to be not only racist but sexist and condescending as well - at least he thought he was funny.
Cleanliness was basic and the room had a very musty and peppery smell to it, windows open was a must. Which then brings you to security and noise. Windows open brought in noise all night long whether it was other people or dogs and birds squealing. No safe in room provided but seemed easy for someone to enter through our window or open our door themselves if they tried. Shower head was broken so made showering quite interesting. The place had a lift and was quite close to Metro Nazionale with ease of access to most attractions, thats about all it has going for it.
Only stay here if you're desperate. Would rather spend a few more bucks and get a real hotel or apartment.

Excellent value for money
The hotel is a bit outside the centre of Paris, but very well connected by metro. It is located in a very quiet neighbourhood and was very peaceful. The staff were very friendly and they spoke English. We got prompt response to our queries regarding late arrival. The room itself was nice and clean, with a comfortable bed. The bathroom was spacious, and clean. They have free Wi-fi in the rooms.
The only negative was the absolute lack of toiletry; not even a small bar of soap. However, given the otherwise good housekeeping, I wonder if this was an instance of oversight.
Overall, I found Royal Bel Air an excellent value for money and would definitely stay there again.

A weekend away in Paris just the 2 of us. The hotel is right by the metro station, Nation, and the 2 guys behind the counter were friendly and a great laugh as well as being very helpful and spoke very good English. The room was very basic but all you need when you aren't in it other than to lay your head. Breakfast was again simple but lovely. All in all simple but great location, clean and friendly. Thank you!

Avoid this Hotel
Avoid this Hotel without a doubt. The room was small, depressing and dirty. The carpet was f?lthy, you couldn´t possibly think to step on it barefoot, The sheet were not changed for 5 (!) continuous nights. The room had not even the basic soundproof. You could catch up a conversation with the people next door without even to raise your voice. But the worst of all, was the boss and the main receptionist (probably his son) whose manners were undescribable (the other two employes were at least making an effort). Not even they were unfriendly, but rude and unpleasant. Especially the boss who acted like we were bothering him. They have absolutely no clue about hospitality and they just don't care. We chose this Hotel because of its price (lower than others but still expensive) and location, but unfortunately no money can buy you Hospitality.

An hole in the heart of Paris
Perfect place near rer and metro station but this place is not à good one to make holiday. Personnel is very nice and helpful, but orrible rooms, dirty and quite stinky. Worst than an hostel, but in a very good position for an extremely expensive city as Paris. so if you are here for work is ok. Otherwise, pick another one.
