Lovely little hotel
Excellent location, 10 minute walk from the Promenade and train stations, good local amenities. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Hotel room was small but spotlessly clean and met our needs perfectly. Thank you :)

Good location for self-caterin....
We arrived at the hotel around 10.30pm and had managed to get the door access codes sent to us in an email a few days before. Sadly however, the code to the key security box did not work and we ended up having to call the number for out-of-hours reception. It was quickly sorted out and we got our room key and our apartment was on the second floor. There is an elevator. Having travelled extensively around the rest of France, staying in other types of appart'hotels we knew the concept very well. Self-catering apartment in a hotel block. We were a little concerned about the cleanliness of this hotel having read recent rough reviews from others. But we needn't have fretted. The apartment was inviting and roomy enough for the two of us. Perhaps also suitable for a family with small children as there was a sofa bed in the living room. The linen was crisp and clean, we were given heaps of bath towels to last us the week. You only need to bring your own kitchen essentials (for us that was bleach wipes, scourer pad, tea towel, sharp knife, peeler, foil, ziplock bags, kitchen roll and a couple of bin bags) You are expected to clean up after yourself or you could pay the fee to get them to do it for you. Depends what level of mess you make in a week I guess! They supply you with a starter bottle of washing up detergent, a dishwasher tablet (yes, there is a cute mini dishwasher!) and a disposable dishcloth. It only takes a few minutes of your day to sweep the floor or wipe down surfaces! I think the problem is that some people don't bother cleaning up as well as others and this is where perhaps the management need to be more thorough with exit inspections from self cleans. The only gross thing we came across were the two large coffee cups that had been put away that had not been washed well enough and there were dried drinking chocolate marks on the inside. Nothing that a lot of hot water and detergent didn't manage to clean. There's no excuse for being disgusting people.
The apartment had a lovely little balcony to stand on - not sit. It overlooked their car park area and you could watch the hustle of bustle of the main road. So not great views I'm afraid. But then you're not paying for views here. What you are getting is a nice, clean, well-equipped apartment in a great location with free wi-fi. Just a few minutes easy walk of the beach, railway station, bus routes and main shopping centre. There is a Casino supermarket very nearby for everyday supplies. Bio wholefoods store is nearby too. Nice is a very easy city to navigate and you can walk to most places or use the many bus routes and trams that serve it. The 23 bus stop is directly outside the hotel and takes you to the airport. (Free shuttle bus to Terminal).
Mode, the receptionist we spoke to, was very helpful, friendly and gave us great tips on getting around the city. Actually, we found all the staff were very friendly.
The only real inconvenience we had throughout was that there was no switch by the bed head for the reading lamps. You had to get out of bed to switch them off at the wall. The bath had a shower head but not at head height - so you couldn't stand underneath it. Other than this, we found it to be a secure, comfortable stay in a great location.
We would be happy to recommend this place to all our friends and family. Nice is a great little city. Just be prepared to make your own beds and do a little light cleaning up after yourself everyday and you'll be fine. Manage your expectations of an appart'hotel in France. Just think that the money you saved can go towards much more fun stuff like shopping, drinking wine and eating gelato! Enjoy your trip!

Nice staying with terrible end....
My first impressions from the hotel were wonderful - good location, cute room, very polite and helpful staff. Until the last night, when we had problem with the electricity and this happened outside of hours of operation of the reception. We had to call the emergency number provided and the guy who answered us was completely useless and only was able to tell us that the issue will be solved only the next day when the manager will be at the reception. I have never ever seen such a bad service.

oversold in Nice
We arrived late at the hotel after front desk was closed. After calling the after hours phone number we were able to follow instructions to open the gate for the car and get the keys for the room. We travel a lot and this was the first time I can say the pictures of the rooms were a bit misleading. We were not expecting to be in the top floor attic room with stairs, other rooms are single floor. The exterior of the hotel is fine but once inside the rooms the dated furniture and smell from restrooms are not pleasant. We were glad to have patio doors that opened to the fresh air. However, we could not leave them open all the time since there was a lot of noise from the street below. A/C was tricky. Upstairs room has separate unit that was super cold, and downstairs we could never figure out if it was working or not. We were glad it was not a heat wave when we visited. The location looks sketching at night but during the day it is a nice area. It is a 10 minute walk to the beach and promenade. We were only there for two days, but were glad to leave. The only reason we chose this place was for the kitchen and seemed liked a good value, but would not recommend. I did like the fact that the hotel had a private parking lot and free wifi.

Slightly disappointing hotel
Location is good, all the stores are close by. The rooms are very simple but well equipped. The staff is very friendly and helpful but when it comes to cleaning, the concept is very weird. Cleaning is included depending on the duration of the stay. We stayed 8 nights and it only included change of the towels and linen once. Customers are expected to do the final clean but appropriate tools for it aren't provided. When we made the reservation, the cleaning, or lack of it, was not mentioned at all. The balcony was very dirty and ours didn't have any chairs or tables unlike next door. I recommend this place to people who have low expectations and like to clean on their holidays.
