Difficult to negotiate the streets of the town, Sat Nav is advised!! But when we arrived we were pleasantly surprised. Situated in parkland, a short walk to all sorts of places of interest, lovely restaurants around the port. The hotel was well appointed, we were given a room on the ground floor with disabled facilities, the breakfasts were of the usual quality and the staff very helpful. Beautiful dining area and relaxing space, swimming pool and sun trap. Disabled parking, overall a great location.

Quiet location a stone's throw....
Pleasantly situated by Parc Charruyer, the hotel is quiet compared to being in the centre of town, and the park itself brings a welcome change from the busy town centre which heaves with tourists.
The hotel is fairly modern with unremarkable but adequate facilities and décor.
Our room was considerably smaller than those of other Novotels I've known in the past, and a bit tight in places (eg: small WC, and a squeeze between twin bed and bathroom door).
They provide coffee/tea making facilities in the room, and a small fridge with a complimentary bottle of water. The free in-room wi-fi works fine; the list of TV stations mentions only French ones. The bed and duvet were very comfortable.
Breakfast was good and provided all that was required (€16.50 pp).
We recommend asking to be on the park side, as the alternative seems to be a view over the car park.
The hotel has a restaurant, where the menu is not particularly extensive, but perfectly adequate, and save for party evenings in the hotel, is again quiet compared to the town centre and the many restaurants crowded around the harbour area. We found the food to be well presented and copious, but expectations need to managed: it is neither gastronomic nor refined – just good. If you want a reasonable supper without having to walk back to the hotel afterwards, it hits the spot.
It's only a 5-8 minutes walk from the hotel to the old harbour with its famous landmark towers and the town centre.

Nice decoration, okay location....
We arrived after a 10/15 minute walk from the centre of town. When we arrived our room felt like it was hurriedly put together, no toiletries, 1 of the beds hadn't been made up, no teas or coffees, the fridge wasn't stocked.
We were realizing things bit by bit so it was rather annoying having to run to the cleaner every 2 minutes.
Another fault was the loud building work going on at the hotel, there was a sign down at reception noticing guests but by this point we had already booked it? It kind of ruined the relaxing atmosphere.
The hotel itself is very well decorated and the breakfast was okay- the usual buffet selection but the breakfast area looked onto a rather scruffy and un maintained swimming pool- thank god I wasn't there in summer! I would not have been using that!
Therefore I don't think it was quite worth the money.

Stay for a day at the centrall....
My stay at this place can be described in a monosyllable, i.e. "splendid". Since I had reached the hotel with my set of troubles of my lost luggage and the uncertainty whether I will be able to continue my trip or have to return to India. This place gave me some solace, as I had stayed here for a day or so. I checked-in at around 12 midnight and checked-out at 17:00hrs next day. As I had no luggage so i didn't had my basic necessities, but the staff were very cooperative and friendly, they helped me alot. Since this hotel is centrally located the markets were nearby, just a 10 mins walk to the shops. There I bought my basic supplies to survive the following days if my luggage doesn't turn up. The city was a historical beauty and the hotel was at a wonderful location, just five minutes walk through a park to the beach. So one can explore the old City.
Only think I found little inconvenient was the separate toilet and bath in the room.
Overall experience was good, and would love to come back to this place again in future.
