We been treated as family's me....
We stayed at Chebsky Dvur for couple nights but got a VIP reception. It a small hotel and
pretty soon you know everybody including the owner Werner Kraus. When I mention that
I need adapter for ipad he found it in his office. Our flight home was early in
the morning Werner packed cold breakfast for us to go. It's a family business with
good reputation for many years. I picked up this hotel from one of the experts of this forum and never regret.

Traditional, cosy but average ....
I have strolled around all Karlovy Vary, this is one of the traditional decorated restaurant & pub, reasonable & good prices but i can't say it is delicious. The thing is there are no better ones in Karlovy Vary. You do not have too much choice. Karlovy Vary is too much touristic, sightseeing is very nice, nature is amazing but too much touristic and spoiled in years. House wine is delicious. It is a very nice place for beer and drinks. It has 4 rooms which are old style decorated, including smoking & non-smoking areas. Upstairs there is an average accomodation too

Character place, good service,....
Extensive menu with both local and non local dishes available. House red is a pretty good drop. Food is what you'd get in the average Aussie pub, nothing fancy, and a bit up in price for that. Service was slick. Since all restaurants expect tips that they call a service fee, don't know why they don't just add to bill.

Almost walked out
My wife and I had lunch here on a Sunday following the recommendation of our hotel concierge.
Nice enough venue in a handy central location.
Non smoking section which was good, inside, but it was a bit cool outside anyway.
Placed an order for food and drink pretty quickly and all seemed well.
Drinks took about 20 minutes to arrive. Place wasn't full by any means.
After 45 minutes I inquired as to the estimated arrival time of our food. Not difficult meals: mixed salad and a potato pancake with spiced meat. Should be all of 10 minutes to cook from scratch.
Another 5 minutes and were told it would be with us in 3 minutes. No apology or reason for delay given.
I told my wife, five minutes and we walk. She was more forgiving than me, but after another ten I was just about to leave the drink money and walk, when the food arrived, a good hour after ordered, and when we were just about the last there.
Salad, well not much can go wrong with simple mixed salad. The pancake: meat and various items was tasty enough, however the pancake was burnt and was like eating burnt toast.
Serving staff sullen and obviously had no interest in their work.
Do your self a favour and eat somewhere else. This was rubbish.

Waited for 20 minutes in resta....
I wasn't able to have some beer here or eat anything. I sat outside at lunchtime for ten minutes and nobody came by, even though a server was visiting the adjacent area. Then I went inside where it was much hotter and sat at a table for ten more minutes. Tried to flag down a waiter and a waitress who looked pretty frenzied. Finally gave up when a couple that came in after I had waited a while were approached by a waiter. Perhaps being an American is a disadvantage here (i.e. better to speak Czech or Russian). At the least their servers are poorly trained.
I recommend never going to this place, and I will certainly disparage anyone I meet from going to it. I went down the street to another eatery and was visited by a waiter within 90 seconds--need I say more.
