Nice, clean place with lots of....
This place is clean, very close to the Longcheng Square metro, and an excellent option for visiting attractions in Longgang -- Crane Lake Hakka Museum and Dafen oil painting village. There's free tea in the lobby and tons of food options just outside the door. Don't count on much English being spoken or on WiFi, but as cheap, clean and cheerful places go, this is a great option. Get a room in the back side if you're bothered by street noise. Otherwise get a nice room facing front and let the glorious sunshine stream in.

Nothing to complain about in the area or anything. The room is more spacious than any of my rooms during my stays in China. The bathroom is also big enough. The lobby offers tea at any time. Shenzhen is not just hot, it is HOOOOOOOOOOT in summer so the AC has to be operating all the time. For the price, it is a reasonable deal, nothing to complain about. The only thing is the Wi-Fi I can mention, because it is sometimes breaks down and people cannot use it. The reception warns guests that the Wi-Fi is very unstable.
Located just across TESCO supermarket, the hotel was easy to find and only a five minutes walk from Longgang Square Metro Station. Check in and check out was a breeze and the staff were very helpful when I had difficulty logging on to the wifi, which was not done the usual way of connecting to a user id and keying in the password, but going to some WWW which was all in Chinese, which I, of course, did not understand. LOL!
That being said, the room was absolutely comfortable with all the usual amenities: hot shower, the usual shampoo and bath foam, towels (clean and thick ones like what you find in 4 to 5 stars hotels, and which are changed every day), ample toothbrushes and toothpaste and even a comb (for a souvenir I suppose). And there were a flat screen TV, clean bed sheets and a comfortable mattress.
Other than its distance from downtown areas in Luohu and Futian, this hotel was superb for everything else. And yes, there was also a restaurant next to the lobby but there were plenty of other restaurants in the neighbourhood, so there was no lack of choices of food. I especially liked the "kao yu" or Chongqing BBQ fish cooked in a hot and spicy sauce sold at a restaurant located a very short distance on the right hand side of the hotel.
Two of the tourists destinations I visited were Dafen Oil Painting Village and Crane Hakka Museum which were near this hotel.
If you are someone who enjoys pubbing and clubbing, this hotel might not be suitable for you. As I do not smoke or drink, the hotel was perfect for me, except for the location. However, for the price it charged, I think it was value for money and well worth the hour (or a little bit more) of travel on the metro, when I got a good night's sleep after that. And not forgetting that because you are staying far from the city centre, 'Kao Yu" cost only RMB 38 for a small fish, RMB 48 for a bigger one, and RMB 58 for the king. LOL!
