Poor - Very Poor!
I stayed at this hotel for a combination of 3 reasons:
1. I had to attend a meeting that was held here
2. If I stayed here my room was paid for
3. It was far too hot to stay elsewhere and commute outside while wearing suit and tie.
My problems started from the moment I stepped out of the taxi. There is a shopping mall in the same building and the signage led me in that direction. The actual sign on the hotel was smaller and harder to see.
They have lots of steps here, but there was a ramp to drag my suitcase up a half flight to check in where a clerk spoke no English and had to call someone who did.
The hallway was very dim. This hotel saves on electricity by using low wattage bulbs. The room was equally dim, for the same reason. The first thing to catch my eye was the wallpaper peeling from the walls that were stained with mildew. The dim lighting helped with this a bit. In order to reduce the humidity the thermostat was set down to 10 Celsius. I actually had to turn it off for a while to warm up. The bellman who helped me to the room took great pride in showing me the TV, which had a totally Chinese menu.
There were both wired and wireless internet and I did use both. It's totally unsecured and uses a Guangzhou ip address. Very slow weak signal!
The desk had an inner panel with power outlets inside, but those were not connected. There was also a lamp on the desk but it was not plugged in because the TV and cable box took all the available power in that area. Across the room were 2 chairs with a table between and a nearby outlet, so I moved the lamp.
The bed was a standard Chinese rock hard mattress, while the sheets featured at least one hole. The view from the window was non-existent as there was some kind of scaffolding with a cover outside.
The refrigerator and kettle worked OK! I could not believe that they wanted to charge 6 RMB for a packet of instant coffee - the kind that already contains cream and sugar. Fortunately I pack my own tea and coffee.
The bathroom was almost OK. The tiles looked like they had been more recently installed, along with a newer counter and mirror, but the sink faucet and shower head both needed to be replaced. Also, the shower drain didn't work well and the stall managed to leak into the bathroom. Bath and hand towels were extremely worn and face cloths did not exist at all.
Breakfast was meager but edible. If you're hungry you won't starve. If you want a western buffet - go somewhere else. There is supposed to be a Western restaurant on the 5th floor, but that appears to be where we had the Chinese style breakfast. There is also a Chinese restaurant that is probably better, a KTV that appears to be popular, and a sauna that I avoided after reading other reviews.
On the topic of food, a few of us crossed the road looking for food after checkout and found a pizza place and Burger King. We went for the pizza and it turned out to be a good choice.

Comfortable Month Stay
The hotel is located just besides the MRT and there are several restaurants and groceries nearby which makes the life easy of a foreigner. The stay was pleasant with not much of problems. Do not dare to try the breakfast. There are two indian restaurants within 5-10 minutes walking distance.

A good Hotel that was, now a l....
I have reviewed this hotel earlier also and had given good rating. But this time around, I found standard of service has gone down. Do not ever take room with breakfast included. Breakfast is lousy. I did not even go for breakfast from second day onwards. How can a hotel even think of keeping such bad breakfast. I do not recommend this hotel now. Try and chose some other hotel as they have increased room rates and service level has gone down.

A Bargain Hunter will be pleas....
My friend recommended this hotel. So i booked it. I must say first advantage of the hotel is LOCATION. Very near to Guomao metro (Subway) station Exit E (Green Line (luobao line). Hotel staff is very co-operative. However, what it lacks is attention to detail. Like in my bathroom, shower cubicle door was not there (May be taken out for repair). Also, some of the basic needs like sugar is chargeable but tea bags are replaced free of cost in the room. Coffee sacheys are chargeable. which is a bit unconforting. Overall, great location, price, and all basic needs covered, makes it a bargain hunters delight. Can reach any where by metro very fast without being held in now famous traffic jams in shenzhen. I could make more visits due to travel by metro compared to visits by car. and saved precious time for me. This hotel is ideal for Business visitors (Especially, who pay from their own pockets) and also a good deal for family visitors.
