Nothing special, but really enjoyed our stay. Stayed at 22nd floor - so views are amazing. Breakfast is very average, rooms are ok, beds comfortable. Staff do not speak much english. Definitely can find better place for same money!

more 'tabac" then 'Chanel'
Only if the other option is being a homeless -I have been traveling on a budget and I have been traveling in luxury. one thing whice is always important is to know what to expect and value for money . If you want to be deeply disappointed and if you want to feel cheated that's the place to go . The stuff speak only chines , the room are not as clean as you imagine.... It's not that cheep !and if someone try to call reception as the Internet is only via cable no wifi - you are lucky if the phone will be picked. Breakfast is catered to the Chinese costumers only : chicken soup noodles and rice buns and the price sorry to say is not justifying ! you can find a great deal in one of the 5 starts hotel around for only 30% more or find a fab air bnb for 1/2 of the price + I have read some positive reviews not on this website that led me to think they where fake ....
Sorry I will not be back

Located in center of shenzhen. Easy to take a public transportations. Many good restaurants need the hotel.
But hotel actually is very old. Rooms are little dirty. air conditioner is not working. Hotel breakfast also poor.
Even I stayed in dirty room, Employee service mind was not bad. They are kind for us.

Chanel Palace (Shenzhen Palace....
According to my company colleagues in the office building next door this hotel is called the Chanel Palace Hotel in Chinese (after the French Perfume), and the Shenzhen Palace in English. This is a good alternative if you are looking for an inexpensive but reasonably good hotel to stay in. My cost with room, free internet and breakfast was $63.00. The rooms are fine, but it's under local management and doesn't have the feel of a hotel with international management. It really is a normal three star Chinese hotel which is just fine for a business stay. The rooms are functional. I wouldn't call them extremely beautiful, but then again I arrived late and maybe got the last room available that was facing another building and the lighting didn't seem to fully illuminate the room. The bathroom was indeed very nice, with a large walk in shower. It was ok. The staff were competent. The breakfast was Chinese only. However people eating breakfast spoke to me, and I had a nice conversation with a guy from Nanjing who makes the glass touch pads for Chinese smart phones. I can't remember ever having a customer in a four or five star hotel speak to me at breakfast, and I found it a nice experience. So I would stay here again just because of that.

Chanel Palace best value for d....
The Chanel Palace Hotel rooms are very luxurious. The Hotel is extremely clean and the staff are friendly. The front lobby is very plain, however, that is more than made up in the rooms which are extremely beautiful and since you spend more time in the rooms than the lobby, I prefer to stay at this hotel when in Shenzhen. The extra cost of a standard Room upgrade to a Luxury room is well worth the extra $ 15 per night, however both rooms are very well decorated.
The Hotel costs $ 37 to $ 50 per night in US dollars, for this you get a room which is equivalent to $ 125 to $ 175 US per night (probably even more) in North America. If you have business associates book your room who are from the local area, you can get a discount on the room rate.
The only draw back in this hotel is the lack of English Language TV, with only 2 out of 40 channels in english. However, perhaps that is why the room is so reasonably priced as it seems to cater to local businessmen as opposed to foreigners.
Hint: If you stay here and want Western Food to remind you of home, goto the Raindrop Cafe which is not too far from the Hotel (best to take a cab), its steaks are like those in North America if you feel like a reminder of home during your stay.
