Firstly we were to men sharing a double room. On the website the photos of the room clearly showed that it had 2 beds in the room. We stated our names on the booking that also clearly indicated that we were two men. In spite of this we were given a room with one double bed in. The staff were very unaccomodating to resolve our problem and wanted us to pay for an extra room to solve what we think is the result of bad, misleading advertising. When we eventually (after 45 minutes ) got a room we had a room with no window. I think it should be illegal for a hotel to have rooms with no windows. I will definately never make use of this hotel again and will convey this message to all my friends that travel to Shanghai. We travel to Shanghai every two months and believe we were ripped off. We should have known better when we noticed that this hotel only had a 53% customer satisfaction rating. Comparing to the other hotels we stayed in this hotel can not be recommended to any one.
