Feels like home
Stayed here for a couple of months during a business trip. The receptionists are very friendly and you can count on them for things that you need. I stayed most of my time in a 1-br apartment but I also got the chance to stay in a 2-br apartment for a few days as my original room wasn’t ready yet. It’s spacious and can fit more than two persons. I like how the bedroom and shower room are elevated. My room is cleaned every Friday morning. I just realized I wasn’t able to check out their bbq deck, game and study area. They have a gym which most of the time I have only for myself. It’s equipped with treadmills, bike, weights and a few more. Beside it is a studio where you can do ballet or yoga. During my stay, I’ve rented some kitchen utensils (sponge, cutting board, rice cooker and a flipper) for 100 CNY. There’s a Family Mart, Easy and restaurants downstairs. There’s also the newly opened Kaiba Bar perfectly situated downstairs. There’s a tram near Base which can take you to the nearest metro station which is Guanglan Lu.

summer TCM short course
Stayed in this hotel for 1 month..our stay here was relaxing. The hotel should be proud that every staffs we met during our stay were efficient, professional and friendly. Especially the staff name Louis, had informed us of so many things during our stay here. Thank you Louis for your humour ,efficiency and lovely manner on reception.
Room could have been cleaner,me and my roommate like spotless.
Besides, Base Hotel is just located at second last tram station and is walking distance to hotel. Base Hotel also provides fridge, hair dryer ,microwave but
if there could be a supply of kitchen utensils will be better. Do not miss to rooftop during night time, nice view there.

Clean, comfortable, reasonable....
The room was clean and comfortable (the usual very hard Chinese mattress). Bathroom was somewhat small but was fine for one person use. The rate was very reasonable. Some English was spoken, but not by everyone. The staff was friendly and helpful as possible for their language situation. The hotel was not near town, but if you need to be in the area, I would recommend it. The small complex of shops had two restaurants, a bakery, a bank and a few other small shops. Our AC didn't work well, they fixed it once, but it stopped cooling again the last day. Others in our group said their room was overly cold...

for short business trips only
if you are working close by , you can stay there it is average hotel at reasonnable cost, the major drawback is for a westerner the poor level of english of the staff and the very limited food chices both for breakfast and other meals (only 2 restaurant available in the complex)
do'nt stay there over the week end , it is dead boring

Not worth the convenience (eve....
I mistakenly stayed here since it was near my office. I moved after one night. Even our locally based staff do not use this hotel when they come to Shanghai from other cities in China.
Staff is friendly, English capability varies by member but not dependable. Rate was very reasonable but location was too far away from the city to be used as a base for exploring Shanghai. (I hear it is not too far for site of Future site of Disneyland). Facilities are very tired. The bathroom and linens were clean. The mini-bar fridge was missing from my room. There were Mosquitos in my room (but also a device for killing them). I was in a regular room and it smelled like smoke. They apparently do have a non-smoking floor but was booked while I was there. The bed appeared clean but was rock hard. Escort service introduction cards were slipped under the door of the room my colleague was in. This makes one worry about security.
I moved to a hotel about 30 minutes away (halfway to the downtown area). Overall, not worth the convenience.
