Cost - from 158RMB
Comfortable, clean bed
Out of the tourist area, but easily accessible from the Line 3, Chifeng Station metro stop...about a 1k walk
Lots of great street food for breakfast on the walk to the metro station..try the jingbang - shanghai crepes 3RMB
Friendly, helpful staff
Rooms are very, very small, but have all basic amenities
2 free bottles of water every day
No tourists anywhere
Flat screen TV with HBO
Somewhat new, but showing wear
It's a metro ride to all tourist spots
Staff has very limited English skills...they have a cheat sheet for common questions. We used google translate on iPad and it seemed to work pretty well.
We often returned to an uncleaned room, but they would quickly accomodate us and as soon as we informed them, they would have it cleaned within 20 min.
Rooms are very, very small...not for those with a lot of luggage or claustrophobia.
The rooms in the center don't have windows...you might want to pass on these if you are staying more than 1 night.
We lost the room key (we inadvertently put it in the slot in the metro station =). They charged us 50RMB at checkout for the lost piece of plastic.
