the room itself is not bad but the buffet breakfast provided was really disappointed ! not only variety but also the taste. i cant imagine its from a 5-star hotel. The simple fried noodles served was cold & disgusting, the noddles soup requested was served in the soup that used to cook noodles and plain, u cant find even a spring onion in the soup. its different from JW Marriot that we used to stay in KUala Lumpur. I guess the buffet breakfast served is the same cos we have a bad impression also when we moved to another 5-star hotel, Grand Hyatt.

great location: walking distance to the bund, nanjing pedestrian area, people's square & xintiandi. the breakfast buffet is quite good. the rmb99 all-you-can-eat dim sum lunch at the chinese restaurant is a good deal. service is good on average, but the furniture & fixtures in the room look a bit worn out. i'd agree that this property somehow lacks the attention to details that comes with the jw marriott brand name.
