Good place, great staff
positive: Clean, comfortable bed, decent breakfast, helpful staff, good internet
Not so good: can't really think of anything that was not good
Hint: Book room with balcony
Here the long version:
Stayed here for 6 nights.
For my trip and meetings this was a great place with a good value. I received an upgrade to a suite. Bed was very comfortable.
I was a bit worried that it would be too loud due to the traffic but the bedroom had noise reduction windows and I slept like a rock ??.
Breakfast was with sufficient choice - I only wish that eggs would be made fresh to order.
There is also kind of a daily gathering for happy hour in the afternoon with free drinks.
I would recommend booking a room with balcony - these are always to the garden side and hence any traffic noise would be reduced compared to the rooms facing the road.

Beautiful building, great loca....
We had a huge and impressive room in this beautiful historic Art Deco building. Great location in Changning, 5-10 minutes walk from Jiangsu Station which services two train lines and makes it very convenient and quite close to central Shanghai. Countless restaurants, shops, bars, etc nearby. Service was ok, not very friendly but the staff spoke English which was appreciated considering we speak no Mandarin. Good buffet breakfast with Chinese and Western options. Good value for money, we would definitely return.

Could be better
The people working at the hotel are kind.
The room could've been more clean(would never walk in there without slippers!!!)
Animal abuse in the hall since a red fish spends his life in a glass of water so small he can't even move. Please give
Those poor fishes bigger bowls! It's horrible to see them in that condition; it's unacceptable in 2017 for animals to live in
those conditions, cmon!

Accommodating rooms and friend....
Well located hotel with clean, modern rooms and friendly staff (Kevin) that let me check in early. Fair-priced for Shanghai with a "central" location. Uncomplicated choice when on business. The boutique size makes it swift to conduct check-in / out and in general sets a nice tone before hitting this hectic city.

Terrific location, beautiful r....
The Jinjiang MetroPolo Classiq Shanghai Jing An Temple is a nicely restored property from the 1930s. It is located about 10 minutes from Jiangsu Road Station on the Shanghai Metro. It is about 1 mile from Jing An Temple (an awkward walk from the Jing An Temple stop on the #2 Airport Bus if you are pulling luggage--and taxis were hard to hail at the bus stop!). The room was nicely decorated in a refreshing and modern style--and the housekeeping standard seemed quite high. My room did not include breakfast--and I found the buffet to be overpriced relative to quality--although comparable to other hotel breakfasts in Shanghai (I only tried it once--the options on Jiangsu Rd near the Metro such as red bean filled buns and spicy pancakes were delicious and quite inexpensive). On the other hand, it was nice to be able to have free watermelon and tea in the lounge in the late afternoon. The hotel overlooks the Yan'an elevated road--but I found the room surprisingly quiet given proximity to the freeway. The neighborhood around the hotel has many attractive parks and old homes--Hunan Rd. for example makes for a pleasant walk (you can walk easily from the hotel to the Shanghai Library and Line 2 of the Metro in roughly 20 minutes--and the route is very beautiful!). The staff were friendly and helpful. The room price was an extremely good value--especially for such a beautiful and clean room.
