Limpio y amplio
Over priced compared to quality provided by other hotels in the area. It is a great location and the lobby looks nice with marble flooring etc, but the rooms are distinctly average and no better than other rooms provided by cheaper accommodations throughout the city including ones in the central locations around Culture Square and WuLin Square. Don't really recommend, can find better elsewhere.

Apologies to the Viennese.
When you turn on the television in your room at this hotel, the commercial that advertises the property has two very western-looking people, laughing and drinking wine at the entrance of the hotel. Clearly, they never go inside. If they did, they may be in for a surprise.
Zero English here, so bring your guidebook. Odd little statues of the same classical bust playing different instruments all throughout the hotel. There is a confectionary in the lobby selling all kinds.
You can walk around but there isn't much happening in a 15 min radius.
The carpets in the hallways were atrociously filthy. Perhaps there was a correlation between them and the tall ashtrays that lined each floor.
Drab breakfast room with communal large round tables, a television blaring Chinese talent show. No juices or water! Watched a woman preparing cut fruit with hands that had just been cleaning. The coffee comes pre-creamed and sugared. Sigh. One can put together a greasy little breakfast for themselves if one is creative or if doused in enough vinegar to make it edible.
Large comfortable king-sized bed. Nice washroom, large shower enclosure, clean. Wifi worked well and was free.
I'm not sure I would stay here again unless I checked with my doctor first.

Rooms ok, location so-so
Stayed here for 3 nights as part of a touring group. The room was fine, and the shop on the main floor had wine and snacks available, which was great. The main problem was the restaurant next door, which was where we had breakfast - it was cold, dark, and the food was pretty bad - the first time in China when I really just found a meal inedible. There is a supermarket and a baker a couple of doors down which helped. If you're craving Western style comfort food, though, it's a 15 minute walk to MacDonalds or Starbucks.
