It is ok
I was there for Canton Fair. I stayed 5 days at this hotel. I think that it is ok. Location is ok, not so far to center. By taxi, almost pay 4-5USD. There is free bus service to fair. For breakfast, everyday u need to goto reception and inform them to get breakfast. Than they bring it to your room. Rooms are not big, maybe look small, but not too bad. There is free internet. In my opinion, price is reasonable and service is also reasonable. One year ago, i stayed Suiyun hotel. It was so so aswell, but for the next time i prefer to stay in yinghaigang hotel again. Taxi drivers not find hotel easily, so before you arrive to GZ, don't forget to get hotel phone number:)

We stayed at this hotel 2 times this trip to China. The first stay we had a "nice" room in the back of the hotel. It was good sized, clean and had a nice view of a park and some of the city. If this was the only room we stayed in I would have given it 4 to 5 stars, for a very budget hotel. The second stay was in a room facing the front of the hotel. This room was clean, but very small ( at most 18 inches on each side of double bed ) and a nice view of the side of the freeway just outside the window. If this were the only room we stayed at, I would have given it 2 stars.
Now for the location. GREAT. Many bus stop nearby, including one just outside the front door. Lots of dining nearby. And shopping, if you are looking for cheep Chineese clothes, just up the street, there are many more local shops in the "doorway" in the wall across the street from the hotel, however you will need to walk to the nearest cross walk to get to this "door" ( about the same distance either way you walk ).
Ok for the breakfast. Hmm, if you read the comments and know what you are getiing, it is great. If you expect a big western breakfast, you will be disappointed. What we got was 1 boiled egg, 1 carton of flavored milk, and 2 Chineese cakes or pastries and 1 piece of fruit per person. Pleanty of food to get the day started.

HORRIBLE SMELL FROM SEWAGE SYS....
One of the filthiest hotels I have ever come across. Rooms smells because of backed up sewage system . Room change request did not help matters. The same smell was still in my new room.
Don't even get me started about the clean up crew, they need to be trained on how to clean. All they do is empty the bins and wipe the floor with a dirty mop! To make matters worse on my last day, a roach crawled out of the sink while I was brushing.

Cheap n cheery if you avoid Ca....
Easy by taxi to most places of interest within 20 mins from here. Built between 2-3 Major highways, so Enjoy the "Concrete Views"! You can haggle over prices, but only if you speak Chinese/cantonese!. Zero English Language skills, but fine for me as I have Chinese Ptnr. Cheap Rates for B & B (Breakfast consists of brown bag taken to your room, if you wish, with Boiled egg, fruit (x10, Roll and a juice). Clean and comfy, good value 2 star, if thats what you're after! Take awalk across the road (Carefully!) and explore all the wee backstreets, with street vendors and loads of tiny shops, greart bargaining fun..in "Sign language" :-). Also Huge Warehouses round the corner from there, but few sell in ones/two's quantities.

Ok option is you need to go an....
This hotel is located like 10 minuts by taxi from the guanzhou east train station.
What i like:
- Free Shuttle to the Canton Fair
- Free breakfast
- Relative spacious room
- It's alsmot at one side of the entrance to the baiyun mountain, one of the local attractions for Guangzhou.
- The free internet
What i dont like:
- Almost nobody speaks english, the supervirsor girl save us with her basic english.
- The free included breakfast is a joke !, is a little bag that is left hanging in your door every day.
- The sourrounds are not very nice but ok,
- In china is like nobody has laptops, so several hotels have computers in the rooms, so be prepare to try to find the browser in chinese !
- You come and go to hong kong, then this hotel is near, 10 minutes ride to the guanzhou east rail station that at the time for this review was the station to come from HKG.
