I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights and the room was good. It is located in a relatively quiet area and a short distance from the nearby Metro station. Breakfast was not included and the restaurant serves mainly Chinese dishes. Anyone used to other dishes may need to double check what is on the menu before ordering. This will hopefully avoid any surprises.
The bed is clean and comfortable. There is a kitchenette which i haven't used once. There is also safe inside one of the closets though i didn't understand how one note could manage to sneak out without my knowledge.
Air quality inside the room is good, except that the corridor and the lift area suffers from such bad air.

Good value for money, a great ....
Stayed here for a family vacation, there were six of us so booked ourselves for three double bedroom apartments. We checked-in late as we landed at 8pm, arrived at the hotel by 9:30pm from the airport. We were greeted by a friendly receptionist and she upgraded our two rooms to a deluxe room (incl living room, very spacious), as the hotel is fully booked at the time. Left with one smaller room that we booked online. So no worries.
The rooms was ok, spacious with good amenities. Decent bed with clean sheets. The bathroom was also clean. Kitchen pantry also clean, note: they only provide with basic kettle and some coffee / tea sachets with two mugs. You have to bring your own cooking utensils (pots, plates, etc) if you want to cook your own food as they dont provide them. There is an electric stove if you want to use them. We brought ourselves an electric rice cooker. The deluxe room didnt have a washing machine but our superior room does, not that we use it anyway but nice to know that it is there.
They do provide a free wifi in the room.
Room cleaning was also very efficient, friendly staff and very prompt. They came in quite early though (in my opinion), the cleaning staff is basically done cleaning by 10am.
It is true that the hallway has a very odd smell, smells of a damp clothes and some expired cooking moths, which is not good for my nose, you just have to hold your breath when you exit the elevators to your room. Its just that the hallway doesnt have an air-cond and there is no air ventilation, so you just get this really stuffy-humid condition. But once you get inside your room it was just fine.
Reception is 24hr, so that's ok. But if there is any problem with your room at night time, they cant do anything about it as the hotel maintenance staff only work during daytime. So you need to wait until the next morning.
To get to your room you need an access card for the elevator.
Facilities around the hotel are within easy reach, there is a 24hr 7-Eleven downstairs and a chinese restaurant too. Also there is a Halal pizza restaurant by the hotel entrance. If you need a supermarkets there's tons of choice available within walking distance, market stalls selling fruits and vegetables, pharmacists, hardware stores, halal restaurants too.
The location of this hotel is fantastic, everything are easily available. Easy to get a taxi in front of the lobby, but bear in mind that it is hard to get a cab during peak rush hour (around 5pm - 8pm). It was impossible to get one, if you are lucky most taxis does not want to use a meter. Metro subway maybe about 20mins walk from the hotel. The good thing about this hotel is that it's not too busy and not too isolated. So we feels safe to come back even during at night time.
All in all i would say this hotel is a good value for money. It offer that basic hotel amenities and works fine for the room rates. The room furnishing is abit outdated and the conditions does show that it's aging. But for the price we pay we can't really complain.

Horrible - Not Recomended
This hotel is truly dreadful - smelly, dirty, dark and dingy, with nasty peeling vinyl furniture. The corridors and lifts smell like a toilet. First night spent in a dirty room with a damp bed. We had a Chinese business colleague who complained on our behalf and the rooms were changed to something slightly better. However, this made little difference as the smell of smoke in my room was so strong it was as if someone was smoking in there. At least the sheets were dry this time My clothes and hair stank of smoke and food when I left. Not even a satisfactory budget option. Avoid.

I have stayed in this hotel many times since its inception. It was a fine apartment hotel supposedly managed by White Swan Hotel Management. It has just gotten worse and worse every time I went there. I usually stayed for 2-3 weeks every 6 months.
I usually booked the larger executive suite with seating area. It's usually spacious but furniture, closet, toilet were progressively falling apart every time I went there. One time, I couldn't open the closet and had to get maintenance staff to do so. The walls were beat up and washroom filled with stains and mildew. I couldn't take it anymore and switched to China Hotel. True, it's more expensive but if you book 90 days in advance, you get a good advance rate from Marriott. I haven't looked back.
Q-City was located in a convenient area with subway close by and lots of bus routes. However, the maintenance was disappointing and the hotel management is totally responsible for its demise. A few months ago, when I was staying at China Hotel, I went back to take a look at Q-City. I was appalled to find a banner outside saying that it's now available for hourly rental. I really couldn't fathom ... this hotel, once my favourite place to stay, turn into such low life! My recommendation: stay away!

Comfy and spacious - skip the ....
The room sizes in the hotel are great, beds are decently comfortable and the wifi speeds are good. For the price you paying its more than worth it and its location close to the mtr stations are a plus.
If you ever in doubt over whether to go for the hotel breakfast though, don't even bother, dingy room with dodgy food, id rather eat the pillowcases.
