Deploranle

They charge top dollar, for china, and they try hard, but frankly this hotel is very ordinary. It begins with location, and name. Both of which taxi drivers struggle with, and I had 3 of them, then the room, I thought was a smoking room when I arrived but discovered it was Mosquitos coils and plug in devices because the window was broken. The bed was comfortable There is a constant din, my ground floor room being adjacent to check in Breakfast: advertised "from 6am, was starting to be prepared at 6:10, and had no coffee! No cereal, no juice, but ample half boiled eggs, boiled cabbage, noodles! The final straw was at 6 am while I was waiting I could not find a clean table... crumbs etc obviously left from yesterday's breakfast

Good & Clean hotel very close ....

It is a good & clean hotel 5 min drive from the airport. The surroundings are not crowded & have a lot of trees. It is a very good option for an overnight stay. The staff speak good English. They have a free pickup and drop facility every half an hour for the airport. This is helpful for those who travel to the city also because the metro station is close to the airport.

Very average hotel

I been to this hotel on 20th night. I had to catch early morning flight so decided to stay here. This hotel is very close to airport. It is a very basic hotel and rooms are also very small. It do not have a Restaurant , they just have a dining area . They ask for advance order on demand.they have airport drop facility. I would recommend to book only if you have early morning flight else you will find good hotel in city at this price.

Nice small hotel

Stayed there for one night during my transit flight, big clean room, close to the international airport; one bad point is that only manager speaks and understands English; they have a free transfer to/from the airport; a very good deal for a low price

Unsympathetic tomb by the airp....

The only thing Nuo Xin, or June Hotel as they call themselves in English, is good for is a short night's sleep before leaving Guangzhou with a morning plane. Don't expect a good sleep though - the rooms are clean but the beds are beyond rock hard. If I didn't know any better, I'd say the beds are wood with just a sheet over them. And do arrive late to the hotel: there's nothing around to eat, nothing to see, and the hotel itself is like a sinister tomb, devoid of any atmosphere or soul. We made the mistake of arriving in the afternoon with our heavy bags and going back to Guangzhou city after that. During our entire month long stay in China, getting away from the hotel in the afternoon proved to be the most difficult obstacle. The staff pretended to know how to speak English, but pretty much only knew a few basic things and refused to use any online translator or to listen when they didn't understand what we were trying to communicate. The simple question of how to get back to the airport and the metro was met with disregard and cluelessness. The woman behind the desk said she could get us a taxi for 50 rmb - a COMPLETE scam which made us boil with rage. After that she nonchalantly said we could walk to the airport, and that it should take 20 minutes. We ended up walking, since there were no taxis and no people around. It took us 40 minutes of walking by a highway. A taxi would take 5 minutes and according to the meter cost 12 rmb - that's what it took us to get to Nuo Xin from the airport where there are endless amounts of taxis. Getting away however... A sweaty, nasty walk that still had us fuming over the nonchalant offer to get us a taxi for 50 rmb at the hotel. In the mornings there are shuttle buses (thank god!) so at least we got away from this unpleasant place the next morning around 5 am. The driver was unpleasant but at least he did his job properly. And last but not least: as an airport hotel that caters to travellers with very early flights from Baiyun airport, it's absurd that breakfast is served from 8 am. Avoid if you can.
