Short transit stay!
Stayed here for night on my way to hanghzhou. The hotel is located in close proximity to airport around 15 minutes drive. The staff was really polite and gave me the upgraded suite room without any extra charge. The hotel has a ktv and a club too. The breakfast spread was good with much variety. Surelly recomended hotel!

Decent hotel except for thin w....
Stayed one night after a late flight since this is near to the airport. The room is of average size, cleanliness is good and everything works well, including the wifi. Room lighting is somewhat dim with everything switched on though. Unlike some other chinese hotels at this price range, the buffet breakfast had a small selection catering to western tastes like an omelette kiosk and some cereals but no coffee though. The local selection including a noodle kiosk is modest but covers most of what locals would typically want. There is a 7-11 store just around the side if you need to stock up on some stuff.
My only complain is the walls seem to be exceptionally thin. Lots of noise can be heard in the earlier hours of the morning as guests prepare to leave. Otherwise, this hotel provides a good night’s rest at this price.

Not the best among internation....
I have been to China on a small business trip and had to stay in couple of different hotels during that time. Grand Peak Hotel was my home for two nights in Guangzhou and I really had a good time here. The rooms were cosy and comfortable, the washroom was big and provided with all the kit, The bed was kingsize, had a good view out side from the window and lots of other things I just don't remember yet. Coming to the short comings of this hotel, there were just a few I would like to write about, ones that affected me somewhat. Firstly, not a lot of English speaking staff and even those who speak English speak it very badly, secondly The breakfast menu was very basic compared to the other hotels I have been. I think this hotel mainly serves the air crews who need to rest a night or two (Guangzhou airport is very near, just 5 minutes drive), so they provide the local breakfast served with only chopsticks (something that I find very difficult to use). But aside from that I don't have any complaints from here.

Very impressive structure but ....
The place was pretty good but that's it...the bed was wery wert hard with a soft pillow, the mini bar was locked, in all the room the smell of the sigarette was strong and I could find only a person that was able to understand english...I mean some time I returned late (8:00pm) and there was 2 people...they was no able to speak eng...but who come back early!
There is a club (disco&bar) I have to tell that is pretty nice....When I was there I went in the font desk and I asked to the guy if he spoke eng he saied to me:"no english here" I thing he didn't want to say the real meaning of it...any way was no polite as well 'cause he was looking to me such an alien...I was in the 8th floor and one night the music was impressive hight (there was I wedding, but I cudn't sleep until 2:30 a.m.)

Slept for one night at this hotel (24 oct 2013), pros: clean medium size room, quiet room, fast free internet wifi connection in room, various breakfast menu, strong shower. Cons: hard too find english spoken staffs, hard bed - bed not comfortable.
