I called the hotel a few times and emailed the hotel to confirm our booking. I never received any reply from them. We arrived 6 am in the morning and we saw the receptionist sleeping at the desk. We need to make a little noise to wake her up. We were tired from our flight so I didn't argue with her. We left our luggage at the front desk since check in time is 12 noon. When we came back at around 2 pm, we were told that they won't allow 3 persons in the room. It didn't help that we brought along our chinese friend to negotiate with them. I told them when I booked the room it says we can pay for the extra person at CNY 80 a night. In the end, they allowed 3 of us to stay but we need to pay CNY 300 for 2 nights stay. It was so frustrating! I can understand if they don't speak english, but they could have at least make up for their shortcomings by being nice to us.
The only plus point is the location. There are a lot of food shops, near the subway, near Beijing street and the Archeological site of the Nanyue kingdom, which is only a good 5 minute walk from the hotel. Other than that, better look for another hotel if you want better service.

It's not a bad place for living, the room was spacious, but the hotel looks a bit old, and the public toilet was a bit dirty. I just hope the management thinks about some renovation in here. For the services, I really satisfied with it

Budget but better options avai....
Location is good as it is near Beijing Street shopping arcade, probably a 10min walk away. However as other reviewers have mentioned, the hotel is old and you feel it straightaway when you enter the room. If you are on a budget it is a decent choice but I would recommend Lido Hotel which for around 100 yuan more (lesser if you share with others) you get a hotel that is much newer and is right smack in the middle of Beijing Street. Unless that 100 yuan a night is an important factor for you, go with Lido Hotel. - dp.

Motel Type / Love Hotel
The receptionist initially offered an upgrade for RMB100 but later settled for RMB20. I think it was payment for nothing because the room was still pretty bad. The sink was outside the bathroom which makes it inside the bedroom! Oh condoms were very much available so I think MEN are generally their target demographics.
The bed was ok except for the smell of cigarettes everywhere. And yes, they did confirm that we were at the non-smoking floor. We moved to a different hotel the very next morning.

A decaying hotel in a nice loc....
I stayed during the busy Canton Fair period, which means limited availability and lack of great deals. The hotel is an old building with decaying interior and subpar furniture. The staff is quite friendly and helpful. The location is awesome with easy access to all kinds of modern transportation and a huge shopping/dining district is within a walking distance.
