i was here for oct 2014 canton fair, i booked thru their online website, before few days i arrive i call and confirm my room and notice that the price that their given is different than the price that i booked online, it is triple higher than the online price, the reason they given was they never update the website, but at the end due the short period notice and i got no time to search others hotel so finally i still stay here. Before i depart from airport i receive their call mention that i need to stay another hotel for one night then will transfer back to their hotel for the rest of the night, that really upset me, what can i do? also a last minute due! The manager came to the airport to meet us and personally brought us to another hotel (of course we still pay our taxi fares for RMB110) and meet us 2nd day morning to bring our luggage to their hotel because we really got no time and need to rush to canton fair. However, this was a unpleasant experience at the beginning.
Now, i want to talk about the hotel, the breakfast is simple yet enough for us, no typical china oil smell, location also very convenient for food wise, this hotel located in a food street, you may have different country cuisine choices such as malaysia, indonesia, italy cuisine and more. we almost dine here the street every night. the most we like is the pizza (forgot the restaurant name). The room that we stayed facing road side, you can hear the car noise but not so bad. Overall experience i can say is a normal hotel that provide simple facilities to meet customer needs. Customer service is excellent!! From cleaner to manager i really no complaint about that.
Canton shuttle bus is only one time pick up for both way, not like others hotel pick up several time, of course as i mention this is a small hotel so appreciate even they arrange canton fair shuttle bus.

Good for a stay to visit Guang....
The ratings already say what should be said, I´ll confine myself how to get there. The site of the Hotel on the map is approx. correct, the metro-station to get to is "Zoo". From there You walk on the right hand side of ´Huanshi East Road´, which takes at least 5min; the entrance to "Colorful Days Hotel" has a porch-roof over the pavement and the name of the hotel stands on that porch, but (unfortunately for both the hotel and the tourist) in a way that you can only read it from the road! Second difficulty: the entrance of the hotel is in the first floor. So my advice for
1.) the tourist: whenever there is a porch-roof over Your pavement (I think it´s the 2nd or 3rd on Your way), look right and if there is a staircase + a ´moving stairway´ (maily for a first-floor-restaurant), then there is a good chance You´re there (-first floor)
2.) the hotel: do fix a sign on the sides of the porch-roof, so one can read it when walking on the pavement!
PS.: breakfast could be better ....

i stayed here on my first visit to china for canton fair in October 2013, i booked this hotel because of reviews of Halal Restuarants nearby however there was only 1 turkish Halal restuarant i think the other restuarant relocated or went out of business (not sure) any way the hotel staff were very friendly and tried their utmost best to make us feel welcomed and comfortable i had a nasty cough and the manager of the hotel i dont remember his name but he was soooo nice to make me a chinese remedy (coke & ginger Boiled) that was really nice of him since he heard me coughing and he did it of his own will i was really surprised. The breakfast was good, plus their shuttle to the fair was always on time however u can use the subway which is walking distance from the hotel maybe like 2-3 mins not more. The area did smell kind of upleasant, after reaching there i wasn't sure if i was going to survive 3 weeks in china however i did, the air quality was not great either but i survived. The bathroom walls are glass however they had a blind. the hotel was clean they cleaned everyday but did not change the sheets often, I will stay here again on my next trip oh and for those looking for halal restuarants Beijing Lu is not too far near the watch market there are 2 halal restuarants

save money with Chinese hotels
If you are looking to save money this was better than a lot of the lower priced hotels I have stayed in at least in China. Things you may want to keep in mind; a lot of taxi drivers didn't recognize this hotel so that made it a little harder to get back to the hotel, but it's near the zoo so you can use that to help your driver out and they speak some, but not a lot of English as they are a Chinese hotel. Otherwise the staff is very friendly and the hotel has a nice modern design. The rooms are clean and near a lot of interesting resturants. The bathroom walls are glass, but they had a curtain for privacy. If you want to save some money when you go to GZ then this is the place to go.
