Affordable hotel on a very rea....
This hotel is included in our tour package and we were very surprise on the affordability of this hotel, the cost is very cheap and the facilities are all new. The hotel is located near the centre of beijings commercial places and within the main streets. The only problem here is the language barrier since almost all of the receptionists dont know how to communicate in english.

An average hotel near the 798 ....
Taxi from the airport takes around ¥50. Don't expect any services at all. Coffee at breakfast was the worst I've ever had. All I could take was a small bowl of congee, that's it. Room is so-so, neither filthy nor spotless. Will not stay here if it is not a few blocks away from the office.

Quality hotel at reasonable pr....
The Yitel Hotel provided a very comfortable room at a reasonable price. The assistance from the staff was very helpful. The additional cost for an air conditioner was worthwhile, although it only removed the humidity without lowering the temperature in the room.

The taxi cost 53 RMB from airport to Yitel after midnight. The ride was about 10min.
I arrived to a very unwelcoming foyer. It was dim & the staff at the front desk were nonchalant. It made me doubt if selecting this hotel was a good idea. I took comfort in the fact that I was going to stay on it for 10 hours before moving into town.
Although I was traveling solo, I took the twin room as it was cheaper than getting a room with one bed. The room was spacious & comfortable. Interestingly, there were different options for pillows. The menu was at the bedside table. But it was too late in the night for me to bother requesting for any of the unique options.
There was free wifi available in the room.
There was 2 bottles of water provided as well as a special tap in the toilet for drinking water. There was an electric kettle, coffee, tea & a mini fridge. There were toiletries provided. The towels were thick.
The electrical sockets were ample & they even had panel for media related equipment. I didn't use it but thought it to be an unexpected inclusion.
Just across from the 798 Art Zone, it was a convenient location to stay if you wanted explore the area. The walk over was about 5-7min. Since the check out time would occur while I was probably still exploring the art zone, they allowed me to keep my bags with them.
The hotel is nowhere near any train station. But there was a bus stop right in front of the hotel. However, I managed to hail a cab at the road in front of the hotel with my huge luggage to get into town.
Overall, I was happy with my stay at Yitel. I would recommend it to anyone looking to stay near 798 Art Zone or near the airport.

A Very Value-for-money Hotel c....
I have been staying at the Yitel 798 for twice during the past year since the location is very close to my working partner's office, which is near the 798 Art District. Actually the hotel is just beside the 798 Art Park and only 20 min. driving distance from the Beijing Capital Airport. If you want to stay in somewhere close to 798 or airport, I think this is a good option. And the price is quite cheap considering the quality is also good for accommodation. I always book the suite for my stay which only cost CNY470 something per night on Agoda. You can have a suite (53 s.q.m.) under $80 in Beijing! That's really value for money I think.
