Won't stay here again, no matt....

Two of us stayed for 6 nights. This hotel now allows dogs, so all day and all night the dogs are locked in their rooms with nothing to do but bark, and they do, all day long. We both changed our rooms - still in my room, the internet barely worked, 3/4 of the light bulbs were burned out, my refrigerator and clothes washer didn't work. The floor and counters were dirty, we had to continually ask for water and other supplies. The towels were thread-bare. The breakfast buffet was passable but nothing is left after 9:30am and they won't replenish the dishes. Find another hotel. They are obviously cutting costs by not maintaining this - what could be - a very nice hotel, in a good location.

Don't book this hotel

I chose this hotel for it's location because I was very satisfied when I stayed here in April. So you could say I was a loyal customer.. But I have been complaining about the lack of cool air conditioning since the first day I was here on October 4th, speaking to the assistant manager several times, the front desk, And with Ctrip agents and supervisors. The hotel has given me at least 6 stupid, useless reasons for not giving me cool air--like the fact that its winter in Beijing. Well that is perhaps true if you read the Chinese calendar but according to the 25-28 degree Celsius temperatures, its just not correct. The latest stupid one is because if the give me cool air, all the rest of the customers will complain. Do they not have individual air/heat controllers in their rooms? They also refuse to give me a discount for this poor service saying the rate is already discounted. Well I have to say that just because a product is discounted is no reason to give discounted service. If you buy running shoes on sale, don't you expect to get the shoe laces together with the shoes. In addition to these issues I have to say that not only is the breakfast buffet less than stellar, but the level of cleaning offered by the cleaning staff is also substandard. And don't expect the staff to speak English either. I'd say if you stay here, you can only expect to be frustrated. Avoid at all costs.

Not a good location for a trav....

This hotel caters to Chinese business travelers only at a high price for a 3 to 4 star hotel. The hotel is modern and clean, the efficiency rooms clean, large and have a lot of amenities if you want to prepare your own meals but there are no shops conveniently located for you to buy any no wifi, the location is quite out of the way and hard to find. There is a bus stop out front on the street and taxis are plentiful, but the convenience factor makes a stay not feasible for foreign travelers. It's a 10 minute walk to some good restaurants on Xiao Yun Lu, right beside the hotel, and a 15 - 20 minute walk brings you to Ladies Street (Nurenjie) and some good shopping for clothes, electronics and home accessories, and the third embassy district including the American and Israeli embassies.

Nice rooms, in the middle of n....

We needed a hotel in the area as we visited a local event. The hotel was nice and the room is very big, with almost fully equipped kitchen (stove, oven, refrigerator, microwave and even washing machine. Without any dishes to make food though). Also, room contains living area with a sofa and television, two closets and a huge king-size bed (the most comfort bed I had in China). Shower is also great and was very clean. The cons are: - Not very friendly staff (may be because of language problems) - Kitchen floor was dirty and sticky (rest of the room was clean though) - There is nothing around. We came for an event but even a supermarket is 10 minutes away by taxi - No Wifi. Only ethernet cable in room or a slow computer near reception desk Summary: nice place to stay if you have to be in the area. Could get better. Don't expect to find anything around.

A convinient place for longer ....

The hotel rooms are actually rather large studios which come with a complete kitchen, living area and separable sleeping area. Clean and functional - exceptionally for China - very smooth matresses. The hotel does not provide any breakfast though. Although the kitchen is fully equipped with all appliances, you are not provided with plates and curtlery beside of two coffee cups. The hotel is rather hard to find and situated at the border of the Yansha district. You have to rent a bike, to take a taxi or to walk 15 min to be connected to the city but the hotel offers a beautiful view into field and forest. All in all a good choice if you intend to spend some time in Beijing and want to prepare some meals at home. The rooms offer lots of space and cupboards.
