Pick your own lodging when in ....
Supposed to be four star lodging with CITS tours of China. The main building had dormitory style lodging that we stayed in one night. The next night, they put us in tourist annex that was probably beautiful during Olympics, but was closed up. We were the only ones in the building. Pretty scarey! We had to request the staff turn the lights on. When we arrived at our room it APPEARED spectacular but there was no running water in the entire building...just droplets left before the water was turned off. On the up side, we had light to read by, comfortable, clean digs and the bed was more comfortable than the dorm room. My advice, don't use a tour service and pick your own lodging.
