Stayed many times at this hotel and it remains a Beijing favourite. One of the few in Beijing with truly comfortable beds and reliable internet. Breakfast remains good, especially being able to have espresso based coffees. Room (bathroom mostly) showing a little age - vanities peeling due to use of poor material in first place. Still would like a chair at desk area to make computer workstation more comfortable. Staff attitude good and standard of English better than most Beijing hotels. Still a trendy destination so night time is interesting mix of people. Like location on side street in middle of real Beijing but convenient to CBD, embassy areas and Sanlitun

For who wants to find a nice place to stay not too far from central Beijing (inside the 2nd ring) is a perfect hotel. Not far from different cultural attraction or nice food and drinks places, and shops and malls with new areas. Rooms are large, clean, with goodies, free soft drinks, free internet access, free breakfast (if you don't take a too early flight in the morning). Generally people try to do their best. The only bad point is you have to doublecheck that the category of room they give you is the one you reserved. Globally a very good standard for China. It was not my first stay in this hotel.

The hotel is wonderful. If you are looking for a place to relax and feel like at home every time you are back, then this is the one. Nice rooms, nice lighting, huge TV flat screen. Not suitable for families, since the rooms, decoration and areas are not designed for kids. If you want a place to bring your family this is not what you want.
The location is perfect, walking distance from the subway and convenient to find food nearby (local and western), also by walking distance. It takes 10 minutes from the hotel to Forbidden City by taxi.
I had never stayed in a hotel so pleasant, I am a traveler and I can tell you this time G Hotel exceeded my expectations. The gym is fine, but a bit small, although I was lucky to find it empty all the time. The food is ok, the buffet is acceptable, don't expect too many options. The service is excellent.
