Facilities offered in CYTS Shanshui Trends Hotel (Fangzhuang Branch) :
Everything of the hotel is just average. However I found this hotel quite good for budget travelers. Location is quite good. There is a subway station 5 min walk from the hotel. The room I stayed was really small. The washbasin was inside the room. The shower and the toilet were so tiny. For solo backpacker the room is quite perfect. Both water and room heater was working really well. While I was in Beijing it was negative 6 degree Celsius. I was from the hottest part of the world so I was not used to with such weather. Considering this they provide me extra blanket. TV looks nice but was not useful. There was only one English Channel and that was CCTV news. TV remote was not working so I searched the channels manually. None of the stuffs of the hotel can speak English. They do not even understand basic words like check-in or check-out. It was really difficult to communicate with them. I couldn’t connect to WiFi because I failed to make them understand what problem I was facing. They mentioned in their rules that valuables like money or passport should have been kept in the security locker rather left at room. I went to the reception with my valuables and ask for locker. They did not understand what I was talking about. After they failed to understand my requirement they called some lady for translation. I talked with the lady over phone and explain her whole matter. The lady explained my requirement to the receptionist. They were so embarrassed because they actually did not have locker. They did not even hear of it. It’s strange that they mention something in the rules and regulation of the room but they do not actually have that. Overall the hotel was clean but in my room the carpet was old. There was a water heater in my room. You can boil tap water in the water heater and drink it.
