Stayed here for 5 night and it....
My significant other and I took a spontaneous 6 day trip to Beijing and chose this hotel based on its location to the touristy place in the area.
The hotel was pretty easy to find - close to subway line 5 and the Dengshikou stop. So easy to get there from the subway. Exit A and make 2 quick lefts and walk a little.
The room was a decent size with a wooden type floor, nice flat screen tv, and ample places to store your clothing. had a safe and fridge which was stocked with some soda and a bottle of water. They provided 2 free bottles of water a day and all necessary toiletries. Towels were nice and fluffy and changed daily.
The room also had its own air conditioner and it worked well keeping the room at about 18 degrees C. A blow dryer in the bathroom was also provided.
Some bad things - THERE IS NO WIFI. regardless what the hotel advertises the wifi does not work in the room and as nice as the front desk people are they just tell you to log in with your passport number. WIFI DOES NOT WORK HERE.
The housekeeper bangs on the door every day at 8:30am. Didn't matter if you hang the little do not disturb sign out. Every day she decided we should wake up.
Other thing that bother me was the room safe scam. The housekeeper and /or security guy takes the battery cover off the safe so when you close it the batteries fall out and you can;t open it again as it has no power. You have to choice but to call him to use the master key to open the safe and fix it and he expects a tip. I didn't give him one as I smelled scam. I found the cover behind the safe - someone put it there.
The housekeeper did a low grade job of cleaning. She never really made the bed - just seemingly tossed the blanket over it.
We didn't order the breakfast when we reserved thought C-trip but the check in girl gave us a deal at 40rmb for 2 breakfasts. Cheaper than the online price. The breakfast is pretty much all Chinese - my significant other was happy with it - I wasn't.
There's some little stores and restaurants close to the hotel and a minimart not far away.
Overall this hotel was ok, Nothing special and priced at about $72 a night it was a bit over priced. I would stay here again but only if the price was lower.

Only real plus is the location
Had to stay here for one night due to missing a connecting flight, so got recommended by the hotel help desk at Beijing airport.
Bed was hard. The bathroom was okay, but there wasn't a bath (although that's not a problem for me, it might be for some others). The breakfast was only Chinese, which I hadn't expected at all - I didn't enjoy it. Even something I would have thought was basic like cereal wasn't available, but maybe I'm just too westernised!
The main plus is that the hotel is in a reasonably central location. A main shopping street is about 3 minutes walk away. It is walkable to the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square.
I certainly wouldn't choose to stay here again, unless I had no choice.

That will do nicely
This is a two to three star hotel punching well above its weight, a gem, I would stay no where else.
Some people come to China and try and avoid all things Chinese, preferring to hunt out western creature comforts; fair enough that is all available for you in Beijing.
If that is what you want this is not the hotel for you.
That is not to say it is not comfortable, it is, exceptionally so, and indeed you can grab a coffee in the lobby and the breakfast though predominately a Chinese offering ( a reflection of the vast majority of there guests) fried eggs on toast and others western standards are available.
Rooms are large, wooden floored, fridge, kettle and all en-suite.
The location could not be better, a walk away from all the big hitting tourist attractions and on the same Hutong as the metro.
This is authentic, modern and welcoming China at its very best.

More like a 2-star hotel
Pros: location! Very close to Dengshikou subway station ( 200-300 meters away ), and on the other end, to Wangfujing st. ( 100 meters ) and many other points of interest ( St.Joseph Cathedral, shopping malls, Street Food, etc. ).
Staff are quite helpful, and they can help out with directions and money exchange.
Rooms are medium sized and well-maintained.
Cons: BEDs are Quite HARD! They dont give that much comfort after a day's walk / exploring the city. Bathrooms are quite small, although functional.
Food maybe cheap but could do with more western choices.
