Low value for your money
I stayed here for 2 nights, during a short visit to Beijing.
The room carpet looks gross, and the shower ceiling displays clear signs of age and lack of care.
There was no WiFi in the room, although I was told during check in that I could go to the lobby for that.
There are two ATMs at the lobby.
I wouldn't stay here again.

Bad choice for Westeners
This was a hotel recommended by an associate. This is not a place to stay if you do not speak Chinese. The hotel is older and need major refurbishments. The lobby is large, but lacks seating areas. The check in and cashier is very dated and nothing like any current hotel. Again, if you do not speak Chinese it will be impossible to conduct business. The rooms are adequate in size but the lighting controls and the AC controls are unfriendly. There is only one English channel on the TV and it is news. They show no interest in catering to anyone but locals. I can not tell if I got good service because I could not communicate with anyone. The room and the bed was clean, but the pillows were terrible. The breakfast was included in the price of the room, but unless you eat Chinese food for breakfast you will find little to eat. I had to get someone to write down in Chinese 2 eggs and some sausage so that I could have some food fro breakfast. I am not sure what they served for lunch because the menu was only in Chinese. All in all, I strong advise against staying in this hotel if you are not a local or traveling with someone that speaks the language. The one positive was that the room rates were very reasonable. There is no wireless wi fi in the room and because you are in China a number of sites are blocked.

for the Chinese market
Our tour company booked this hotel for us so we technically had no choice but to stay here. Staff spoke poor English and the room insulation was rather bad considering it was not the peak of winter. The location was rather obscure in front of a street market so the noise was terrible. I will look for other hotels next time.

I have been to China many times for business. A lot of the time I do not get to choose my hotel. The company I do business will decide. This was close to the company's office, but that was the best I could say for it. The rooms are large with a seperate living room and bedroom. The rooms are aged and carpet a little dirty. I had stayed in a hotel in Inner Mongolia and this hotel reminded me of that from 10 years ago. On the counter in the bathroom are condoms and items to purchase. It just gives you an odd feeling. I was expecting that call at night asking about a massage.
The staff could speak very little english. If it wasn't for our interpeter, I'm not sure we would have gotten checked in.
The breakfast is ok. I've had worse in Qufu, but thats not saying much. Supposedly the breakfast has gotten better.

Average at best
An ordinary hotel with the most bizarre room service I have ever experienced. All the chambermaids do is to return your pillows to the original positions. The litter (bin was full) are not always taken out and most of the stuff remain as they were. I stayed for a week and the only other ting of significant they do is to provide new towels.
The bed in this hotel (I stayed in a junior suite) is very hard, the shower gel provided uncomfortable and the internet did not work for my window based laptop. The mini-fridge is also of lower power, the drinks I put there are hardly cold.
The breakfast is one of the worst I have eaten. No variety over the whole week I was there.
This is not the worst hotel but certainly not one that will entice you to go back.
One more thing, the only English channel available on TV is AXN!!
