Perfect stay in San Pedro
The Hostal was very nice and clean, the room quite spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was rich, the Hostal manager prepared us breakfast also when our getting-up time was very early in the morning. Hostal is located only 10' away from city center, nearby is very quiet.

Perfect Stay, Amazing helpful ....
We stayed here for three nights. The location is just outside of the main town but worked out well for us since it was easy to park our van outside the hostal. We could step out to see the stars or just drive 5 mins to be in complete darkness and stargaze. It was a 15 mins walk to Caracoles.
The superior double room was spacious and clean with a mini fridge and cupboards. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was clean with toiletries and a hairdryer provided. There is a washing machine on site which can be used for washing clothes (extra charges). One can also use the clothes lines provided to dry clothes. The wifi was good too.
Our host Javier was really attentive and helpful. He would make us a simple yet filling breakfast each morning, talking to us and giving us valuable tips about some places to see and restaurants we could try being vegetarians. He is fluent in English so there was no communication problem. He took very good care of us from offering us a thermos of coffee to take with us or packing us cans of water to take for the salt lagoon trip. The day we had checked out, Javier gave us a small room to wait or leave our luggage in. When we got late and had to hurry to the bus station to catch the bus, he drove us there. A big thank you to Javier for taking such good care of us and making it a memorable perfect stay.
My Husband and I loved our stay here and recommend Hostol Solar for a stay in SPA.

Very nice, friendly, clean Hos....
We stayed here for 2 nights. The rooms were perfectly clean and quiet. We did not see too many other people.
The trip to the Main Street was not too far. We borrowed bikes from the Hostel twice, but also not to far to walk.
Would highly recommend. It's on the edge of town so can see the mountains from the front door and many beautiful stars.

Great comfortable rooms
Visiting in the winter when it can get pretty cold at night, we were very glad for some of the creature comforts offered at Hostal Solor.
First, there's heat - an in room heater that is turned on from around 9pm at night. Hot water in the showers .... And the best part - an electric mattress pad so your bed is warm at night when you get in!!
Then, there's the breakfast and hot beverages- breakfast is decent and filling, and the tea and coffee available in the early morning when you are waiting for a tour is a nice touch.
Finally, no complaints about the WiFi- it seems to be accessible from all areas, and it's pretty fast.
Yes, it might be a little bit more expensive than some other hostels, particularly considering it is at the edge of town...but in the winter, the combination of heat, hot water, and a electric heater to warm up the bed are worth the premium IMO!
